This was made for an English assessment about descriptive writing of a person, which I used Hilda for, so it's descriptive and not my typical style of writing. Nostra and Hilda are also depicted as childhood friends and Hilda definetly doesn't act like her canon self here but English assessments turned into fan fiction aren't canon. If there's mistakes in this, don't mind that because this was made in 2023 and I'm not going to bother edit it lol.

The wind howled on the cold, snowy day. The castle stood still, a mere silhouette in the distance. Inside the castle, the main hall was vacant. The hall remained silent except for the fire dancing in the fireplace. Suddenly, the castle doors burst open, and a tall lady with brunette hair braided into two strode into the room, looking like she owned the place. She had a tan-olive complexion and wore heavy chainmail armour, thick brown boots and a white, flowy dress that trailed behind her as she ran her fingers against the wall. Her blue eyes glanced around in annoyance and her face was stuck in a permanent scowl. She sighed in frustration when she noticed her friend wasn't in sight. The lady sprinted down the hallway to find them with her hair gliding past her face.

When she reached the outside of her friend's room, her destination, her scowl had disappeared. Instead, it was replaced with a face full of sorrow, like it had seen the end of forever. She sighed again, this time with dismay slipping out of her mouth, and knocked on the door in front of her. When the door opened, her frown had returned. She folded her arms across her chest, her armour clinking against each other. With the woman's cold-hearted expression and squinted eyes that exposed her forehead scar, she looked fierce. The person on the other side of the door had already cowered back into their room by the time the lady began to speak.

"You know, Nostra, it isn't nice to leave people hanging around, especially your childhood friends," the woman declared loudly. Judging from the tone of her voice, Nostra knew that she was furious, disappointed, and upset.

"I'm sorry, but have you seen the weather outside, Hilda? It's chaotic out there! I'm not strolling out in this snowstorm!" Nostra cried in response.

Hilda laughed, but her laughter was abrupt and felt like mockery. "Suit yourself then. It would have been nice to reconnect with you, but I understand," Hilda expressed to Nostra with a shrug before treading down the hallway.

Hilda stepped outside in the snowy weather, the wintry wind embracing her. She grinned for the first time since her last battle, breathing in the scent of wood and earth. Hilda strolled around the castle until she spotted a hill in the distance.

Time for a small rest, Hilda thought, striding over to the base. Hilda struggled to trek through the snow, but she ploughed her way through. When she reached the top of a hill, the snow had created a winter wonderland in her hair. She giggled, shaking the snow off her head and resting against the gigantic oak tree on the hill.

If only Nostra was here, Hilda thought.

The sun had started to cast its dancing shadows from the horizon as Hilda trudged back to the castle. She breathed in the icy air one more time before heading inside. Hilda marched down the hallway like a regal queen wandering to her chambers, except she did not stroll to her room. Once again, she found herself outside Nostra's room, her hand-turned-fist pounding against their door. Hilda broke into a smile as Nostra appeared in the doorway.

"Hilda, you look like you've been attacked by an avalanche!" Nostra exclaimed. Hilda laughed, but this time, it was a sweet sound that escaped her mouth–one you wouldn't expect from the cold-hearted warrior.

"Nostra, with this war going on, me being attacked by an avalanche is the least of my concerns," Hilda remarked.

"Even the weather can't stop you from taking a walk outside," Nostra mumbled under their breath. Hilda shrugged before embracing them. The action surprised Nostra, who hadn't seen Hilda express many emotions for a long time.

"I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight, Nostra," Hilda whispered, letting go of Nostra. Nostra smiled as they watched Hilda strut down the hallway towards her room. This was the Hilda they knew and loved, and Nostra couldn't imagine her any other way.
