Chapter 32: Freedom

Y/n POV

I watched from the sideline as Eda and King fought Belos. With a big blast, Belos sent Eda and King flying to the ground and The Collector ran up to them. "No, please stop! Run away!" The Collector pleaded with them and tried to snap their fingers, but nothing was happening. "Why isn't anything working!?" The Collector asked themself and saw that the green mold was growing on their hands, just like what happened with Luz. I walked up to The Collector and wrapped my arms around them. "Hey, it's okay bud, I'm sure there's a way to stop it from spreading" I said worriedly as Eda and King screed. "I don't want anyone else to go away, I don't want anyone else to go missing! I'm sorry for everything!" The Collector said as they started to cry into my arms, burying their face into me. "Huh? What is this stuff? W-w-why won't it stop?" The Collector asked as they tried to wipe their tears away and looked over to Eda as they saw more of the green mold starting to go up Edas legs. The Collector ran out of my arms and fell to the floor, trying to peel away the mold. "No no no no no, get off of her!" The Collector said but stopped when we heard a growling from behind us. We looked and saw Belos in this monster's form about to swipe at us. We all came together, preparing for the hit but something stopped Belos, as now there was a hole in his hand.

As we looked ahead of us, we saw a figure and they were glowing blue, yellow, orange, and green. As the smoke started to disappear, String bean came back to his snake form and made his way into the smoke. "Huh, it can't be" The Collector said as Luz (now in a new form) revealed herself. "I'm back!" Luz said as she showed us her new look. "Uh, wait! No, I-" Luz shattered to stammer but was stopped when I ran over and hugged her. "Luz...I-i thought..." I stuttered out as tears ran down my face. "It's Luz, all right!" Eda said as she and King went back to their normal forms. The sweet moment was ruined by Belos screeching, making the whole boiling isles shack. Luz created a spell that put us in a protective yellow bubble and sent us flying into the sky. "Oh my, Luz!" I said while Luz started to laugh at herself. "Overshoot it a little, still getting used to these powers" Luz said, apologetically. We looked over and saw the Titans head start to move with the archive still on top. "Oh no, everyone is still in the archive!" Eda said. "Leave them to me" The Collector said as they made a blue star appear under them. "Wait Collector, I'll help!" I said as I pulled Nikki from my jacket and followed The Collector. "Come on, you can at least do this!" The Collector said to themself as the green mold continue to grow on their hand. I flew in and saw everyone starting to help the people who are still puppets get to safety. I flew down and cached a few who started to fall down. "Y/n!" Willow said as she was the first to spot me. "Hey everyone, glad you all are okay" I said as I set down the people I caught.

"Where were you!? Hunter asked me as he pulled me into a hug. "Oh, I was with Luz, Eda, and King" I said and quickly hugged him back. Suddenly, the archive started to tip over but The Collector used purple ribbons to hold the archive. "The Collector?" Hunter asked, confused "Collector! Keep it steady as we get everyone out!" I said as I started to pick people up to get them out. "Is he-?" Willow started to ask but Gus cut her off. "He's helping!" Gus said. "Yes, they're on our side, now help me get everyone out of here!" I said as I started to fly people out. Amity and Willow tried to hold the place together with vines and ice but that wasn't working. The Collector ribbons started to snap, causing the place to start to tilt to the side. I looked over at The Collector and saw the green mold started to grow on their arms. 'Shit, what do I do!? The Collector is stronger then Luz is but with all the stress they are putting on their body, they won't last long!' I thought as I flew back into the archive. Suddenly, the blue glow that came from the titan skull went out and all of the green mold from Belos started to turn to dust. The Collector was now finally able to set down the archive and flew down to us and fell on the floor. "Collector, are you okay?" I asked as I went up to them and sat down, they made themself comfortable in my lap. Amity, Willow, Hunter, and Gus walked up to us as The Collector hid his face into my chest. Amity crochet down and held her hand out to them, The Collector started to tear up and grabbed her hand. We all (including Camlia) looked out into the boiling isles, trying to spot Luz, Eda, and King. "I'll go look for them, make sure everyone gets un-puppeted and that they are okay" I said as Nikki turned into her palisman form, and I took off to find Luz.
