Season 6 - Chapter 25: Shadows

He was a master at fading into the shadows, an expert in concealment. Sa Abyss pa lang ay wala nang nakakatalo sa kaniya pagdating sa shadow techniques and combats kaya hindi na rin siya nahihirapan habang sumusunod sa mga maharlika.

Fuck, this isn't his supposed journey. Dapat ay nasa Eufrata siya at ninakaw ang libro, ngunit pinili niyang sumunod sa mga maharlika para matunton si Celestial Beryl. And now he's really here, venturing with them against the wild waves.

Chalcedony's journey began when he tried to save the royals from Obsidian's clutches. He was trying to drown them, ngunit ayaw niyang mapahamak si Celestial Beryl kaya pinigilan niya ito. His efforts, however, led to him being transported along with them. He found himself in the vast and perilous Placatory Ocean.

There, he submerged himself beneath the water to avoid detection. It was grueling and demanded every ounce of his training. Without it, he would have perished. Mabuti na siguro iyong nakakamatay niyang training dahil gamit na gamit niya sa kasalukuyan.

Nadagdagan ang mga maharlika, nadagdagan din ang kalaban niya sa puso ni Celestial. Now there's this alpha who has an ability of turning water into ice. When the Alpha conjured ice spikes within the ocean, Chalcedony instinctively used them as cover, slipping behind them unnoticed.

Later, when the group reached a pirate ship, Chalcedony followed, always careful to remain hidden. Like a shadow, he moved, not for his own sake but for Celestial's. His purpose was clear—her safety above all else. Nakalimutan niya na ang libro, at limot niya na rin ang utos ng kaniyang ina na dalhin ang bangkay ni Celestial. Dahil hindi ito ang gusto niya, he wants her to be safe, that's all.

He continued trailing them until they arrived in Fatum. He blended seamlessly with the shadows, observing everything. He even saw the Alpha embrace the woman he secretly loved, the one who had managed to stir even his stone-cold heart. The sight tore him apart. His heart shattered into countless pieces. It was painful, truly heartbreaking.

When the camp settled for the night, and everyone, including the Alpha, was sound asleep, Chalcedony approached Celestial Beryl who was sleeping peacefully. He just concealed himself in the shadows.

"I’ve missed you so damn much," he murmured to her, his voice soft but full of emotion.

She slept peacefully, unaware of his presence.

"We’re not supposed to love," he whispered, his voice trembling, "but what is this I’m feeling?"

Ang malamig na hangin ay bumalot sa silid, ngunit nanatiling tulog ang mga maharlika at walang nakapansin sa kaniya.

"Hello, Celestial Beryl. You’re still my moon. My light. My goddess," he confessed, his voice raw with pain.

His chest ached as he gazed at her lying with the royals instead of with him. He had been there for her through her suffering, yet now, as she thrived among them, it felt like he was nothing.

He reached out and gently caressed her cheek. "You’re still my torch, the fire that keeps me alive. We were outlaws, yet you became one of them. Now, I’m the only criminal left in their eyes."

Looking at her lovingly, he continued, "I don’t want to return to the Abyss without you. Did you find your parents? Were your questions answered? After my mom caught me, hindi ko na alam ang nangyari. I totally blacked out, the last thing I remember of you was lying in the glass coffin. I don't even know what happened to you after that, but I'm glad you're still here, doing great and alive. That's all that matters."

Nanatiling tahimik ang gabi, ang kaniyang bulong ay nanatiling kwento sa hangin.

Taking her hand in his, he pleaded. "Come with me. Venture with me. Let’s search for your family together. I’ll never leave you. Choose me. Hindi pa rin nagbabago ang pangako ko sa'yo, at handa pa rin akong gawin 'yon."

He brought her palm to his lips, placing a tender kiss on it. "I don’t want to leave you again. I’ve found my home in you. Damn it, I'm sure I said this before but you were lying in the coffin. Now you're alive, but you can't even hear me cause you're sleeping so damn peacefully. But I've gotta say it anyway again, I don’t want you to just be my moon. I don’t want to watch you from afar. I want you to be my home, and I want to be yours."

Realizing the intensity of his words, Chalcedony released her hand and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. "What the hell am I saying? Hindi na nga ako natuto noon." He muttered, chuckling bitterly. "You make me say the craziest things, you idiot. Marry me already."

Nakarinig siya ng kaluskos sa paligid. He slightly panicked.

"I’ll protect you this time," he vowed, his voice softening. "Even if it means I’ll drown in the process, even if it means I'll go against my mother, or I'll abandon Abyss."

Pressing a kiss to her temple, he whispered, "I wish I realized this earlier, I've said this to you but I wanna be consistent and say this to you once again. I am the dark, and you are my light. Thank you for being my light, even when I was nothing but darkness."

He brushed his lips over her face, leaving gentle kisses on her cheeks.

"My first love," he breathed, "you’re so beautiful. Stay ethereal."

Backing away, he gave her one last look. "I won't leave you again, I'll claim you, Celestial Beryl." he promised.

Chalcedony had made up his mind. No matter how long it would take, he would do whatever it takes to have her by his side officially.

One thing about Chalcedony is he is consistent, even with his words.

Sumapit ang bagong umaga at parang wala lang nangyari sa mga maharlika. They're fresh and up for another adventure once again, even it means risking their lives.

"Ready for adventure?" Elysian asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Always," Damon replied with confidence.

They ventured deeper into Fatum, only to be greeted by a colossal maze.

"What the hell is this?" Damien muttered in disbelief.

"A fucking labyrinth," Chrys, the alpha, answered grimly.

"Ah, now this is Fatum," Elysian remarked dryly. "Famous for its deadly games. Looks like we’re the players this time."

A booming voice echoed around them:

"Dear players, to enter the palace, you must find the exit of the Labyrinth and face everything it throws at you. You must do this before the day ends, or you'll be sorry."

Damon smirked. "Bring it on."

They've been waiting for this, now they can't lose the chance, so they're taking the risk.
