Even after a big crisis, the world continues moving forward. The same could be said about J City.

At thia time, it was already rebuild and the citizens' lives have come back to normal. That doesn't mean that the incident didn't have it's lasting effects too.

The mental scars left by the invasion of the Sea Folk wouldn't just heal overnight. Most of those who witnessed it will probably be unable to go to an aquarium or eat fish ever again.

There was also a massive media effect. Most exactly, about the way Kumagawa had taken care of the Deep Sea King.

People were grateful for the fact that saved them. However, people have a hard time seeing him as a hero because of how he had done it.

That was nothing new to Genos, however. Most people wouldn't agree of how Kumagawa, his teacher, acts and Kumagawa would continue to be utterly uncaring how he is percieved in the eyes of other people.

There was also a guy that voiced his opinions of how useless the other heroes were. Genos was very irritated by that man's pratling, and Kumagawa seemed to share Genos's feelings on the matter.

And so, at the time, Kumagawa had retaliated...By ripping off a patch of skin from the Deep Sea King's corpse and throwing it at the compainer's face. Genos had also found Kumagawa's little speech after doing so deeply inspirational.

Kumagawa:[Alright, alright, enough out of the peanut galery. You talk a lot for someone that only knows how to hide and run, don't you? You must have really been coodled by the people in your life. Is that where that sense of entiltenmemt comes from. Well, I'm not saying this as something bad. Most people are able to just run and hide. There's nothing wrong with that. However, background characters should just shut up about the actions of the plot. It's just bad taste, you know? No one cares for a faceless characters they're never gonna see again, making yourself to be seen so desperatly is just annoying. Also...That NEET T-shirt of yours is really lame, you know?]

Of course, that was meet with various reactions. People would be naturally apalled by such comportament coming from a hero.

But not all reactions was bad. A father of a little girl Genos had saved from one of the Deep Sea King's attacks has actually supported Kumagawa, and a lot of parents did so as well.

That mainly came from Kumagawa's bombastic entrance when the Deep Sea King was close to hitting Kohina and the minus's overall attitude with his daughter. That centered Kumagawa as a young, protective and doting father.

And of course, Genos had keept in mind Kumagawa's monologue towards that guy that criticized the other geroes until he was reapired, after which Genos immediatly write the monologue down on his notes. Such words of wisdom from his teacher must be well maintained.

As Genos stopped recounting the events of that day he looked around at tge apartment he, Kumagawa abd Kohina shared. Yes, everything was clean and well organizedvas always.

Kohina:Genos, take me out.

Genos:...Take you out?

Genos was confused as to why Kohina would ask him such a thing. After thinking a bit about it, he understood why she'd ask that.

Genos:Ah, that's right. Today is pay day. Kumagawa-sensei had left.

Kohina:Yeah, Papa's at the bank.
