Kumagawa kneeled down as his daughter rushed at him. As he predicted, Kohina jumped at him to give him a hug.
Kohina:I missed you, papa! Genos left me all alone!
Kumagawa:[Eh? Is that so? That's pretty irresponsable of him.]
Kohina:Humu! Look, he's standing uselessly over there!
Kohina pointed at the forner were Genos and Mumen Rider sat. Both were way too battered to even move.
Kumagawa:[Ah, so Genos-chan lost most of his body again. You should be careful! If this is gonna keep up, you're gonna end up on fraud watch.]
Genos:I...What is fraud watch?
Kumagawa:[Ah! So young! So innocent!]
Kumagawa came in at the last moment and had seriously injured the Deep Sea King. However, the minus seems to have forgotten about the sea monster.
That, or he just doesn't see the Deep Sea King as someone worth giving attention to. Genos suspects the latter.
Kumagawa:[So, anyway, how was your...]
Deep Sea King:You bastard!
The Deep Sea King had come back to his feet after the blow Kumagawa dealt to him. He still missed an arm, but his other arm was ready to shred his ambusher to pieces.
Kumagawa:[Hey, I'm having a heartfelt reunion here. Mind your manners...]
But Kumagawa was faster. The minus already had an oversized screw in hand and he quickly launched it towards the monster.
The screw pierced the Deep Sea King's arm, dragging thw monster with it after having stabbed him. It finnaly stopped once it stabbed into a wall.
The Deep Sea King growled in anger, trying to pull the screw out of his arm. But strangely enough, he found it impossible to even budge it regardless of how much he struggled.
Kumagawa:[So annoying...Where was I again? Right! How was your walk?]
Kohina:It was pretty nice. Good thing papa decided to pack an umbrella for me.
Kumagawa:[Well, of course I would. Ah...By the way, have you seen a guy called Mumen Rider? I was looking for him.]
Genos:Than you're in luck, sensei.
Mumen Rider:Um...I'm Mumen Rider.
Kumagawa:[Ah! This went by quickly faster than I tought...]
Kumagawa searched into his pocket, pulling out a flip phone. He handed it over to Mumen Rider.
Mumen Rider:This is...
Kumagawa:[Yeah, it's your phone. I found it while walking around the city. An worker of the Hero Association also asked me to make sure you don't die out here. Seeing as you are still alive, I'd say this was a job well done.]
Mumen Rider narrowed his eyes at Kumagawa. The Class C hero can swear he saw this guy somewhere before.
At another corner the Deep Sea King realized that he wasn't gonna be able to pull the screw out. So he opted for a different solution.
The Deep Sea King lowered his head and bit into his own arm. His razor sharp teeth broke through his own scales and ripped his muscles apart.
He continued using his mouth to saw his arm off. When he finnaly managed to deatache his other arm from his body he rished at Kumagawa, mouth wide open like he was planning to swallow theinus whole.
Kumagawa tilted his head at the approaching monster. A grim amusement played on his lips.
Although his body was completly wrecked, Genos's optics were still funtional enough. He noticed a movement in the stump on the body of the Deep Sea King from where Kumagawa severed the monster's arm.
Genos:Sensei! He's gonna!
But he was just a bit too late in his warning. The Deep Sea King's arm grew back, his claws stabbing through Kumagawa's chest.
It turns out that the fact that the Deep Sea King planned to bite Kumagawa was a ruse all along. He was planning to use the moment before his regeneration to stab his opponent.
Deep Sea King:Hahaha!
Genos grit his teeth at the Deep Sea King's foul cackle. But his attention was taken away when he felt Kohina patting his head.
Kohina:Don't get so worked up. Something like that is nothing to papa.
Kumagawa:[I see. Regeneration, huh?]
The Deep Sea King's cackle had stopped. In fact, everyone was looking on in shock.
The Deep Sea King's calws had without a doubt pierce through Kumagawa's chest. The blood seeping out was proof enough.
However, Kumagawa was talking like everything was normal. He looked like this kind of damage didn't even faze him.
Genos was privy to the knowgledge that Kumagawa was immortal because of his All Fiction. However, the cyborg expected his teacher to at least react to having been dealt this kind of damage.
Kumagawa:[That means you must be a pretty good punching bag!]
Kumagawa grabbed the Deep Sea King's arm. Some kind of primal fear spiked within the Deep Sea King's mind, but he found Kumagawa's grip to be too strong to shake off.
In the next moment the Deep Sea King's arm has been twisted and mangled beyond recognition. The monster felt himself beimg flipped over, his back crashing against the ground.
But Kumagawa wasn't done there. Kumagawa jumped and kicked the Deep Sea King's torso both of his legs.
The Deep Sea King's torso was crushed under such impact. Blood flew out of the monster's mouth like a fountain and his eyes rolled back.
At that moment the Deep Sea King's other arm, the one he himself bit off, grew back and was aimed at Kumagawa's head. But Kumagawa kicked the Deep Sea King's jaw before he could touch the minus.
The attack launched the monster forward, the sound of the Deep Sea King's jaw breaking revertrebating through the air. The monster finally stopped once he crashed into a fountain.
Kumagawa patiantly waited for the Deep Sea King to recover himself. The king of the Sea Folk was beyond angry.
Deep Sea King:You wretch...How is it possible!? How can it be that I am humilated by such a weakling!?
Kumagawa:[A weakling, huh...Yes, I suppose you're right. But you'd never know it, would you? A creature like you was born privileged, so you'd never know about weakness.]
A screw appeared in Kumagawa hand. However, this one was different from his usual screws.
It was a lot longer an thinner. And unlike his usual screws that had a plus sign at their flat head, this one had a mimus sign.
Kumagawa:[I'll help you out...]
Something on the back of the Deep Sea King's mind told him he had to dodge. However, he was already too late.
The screw pierced through the Deep Sea King's chest, but it strangely didn't look to have dealt damage to the monster. At that moment, the fire in the Deep Sea King's eyes dies and he fell to hus knees.
The Deep Sea King felt like he lost all his strenght. His mind was assaulted by despair, sadness, powerlessness and many other negative emotions.
Wave after wave of negativity hit the Deep Sea King. He was the one who ruled iver the seas, yet at that moment he felt like he was drowning.
Help him! Someone pull him out of this misery!
Deep Sea King:Please...Please...I just...Please kill me...
Kumagawa had already stomped on the Deep Sea King's head with a sadistic grin. The monster's head was crushed upon impact, blood and brain matter splattering around.
Kumagawa:['Cause I'm such a nice guy!]
