The Reigning Sky

CHAPTER 7

He arrived 10 mins early and waited for Sky outside her job. "Damn who is that?" Asia asked. Sky chuckled. She couldn't stand Asia but was cordial with her because she needed her job. Diamond, Asia's twin sister walked up to the table she was cleaning.

"Girl I don't know but he is fineeeee" Diamond said giving her sister a high five. Sky shook her head and cleaned her last table. "See you two later" she said walking out. They were still at the window staring at Kendall. Once they seen Sky approach the dude they both looked at each other. Diamond quickly pulled her phone out at text Lauren.
Diamond: "Gurllllll who dat nigga who came to pick Sky up?"
Lauren: "Bitch. You have to be tlkin bout her cousin Kendall. Where they at now?
Diamond: "At da job. Hurry bitch."

Sky smiled at Kendall. She had her work uniform on but was still gorgeous. Her hair was up in a high messy bun. Kendall threw the remaining of his blunt out and hugged her. "Hey beautiful. You hungry cause a nigga starvin'." He said rubbing his belly. Sky giggled and nodded. He opened her door for her and walked to the driver side of the car.

Lauren had pulled up beside him. She got out and smiled at him. "Hey Ken." He was instantly agitated by her.

"Look ma you ain't someone I would even mess with. You lucky I don't kill your ass for them niggas shooting at us last night." He got in the car and was about to pull off but Sky hopped out.

"What the fuck Lauren? Why you always starting drama?" Sky yelled. She was upset because Mike had came last night banging on the door but Lauren wouldn't let him in. When she was leaving this morning he was still at their door. He explained about what happened last night but she didn't believe him. Kendall now just confirmed it.

"Bitch don't get balls now. You know you don't want it." Lauren said laughing. By now there was a crowd of people. Sky inhaled deeply and then exhaled. She wasn't trying to go back to her old ways but Lauren was pushing her. She heard Asia and Diamond laughing in the background.

She walked towards Lauren and got in her face. "You lucky bitch. I could murder you in front of all these people." She said low enough for her to hear.

Lauren laughed. "Ha, bitch I'm not scared. You got me fucked up." She said mushing Sky. She was and she didn't want her to see it. Just then Sky walked to Ken's car and grabbed his .45. Her heart was beating fast. Her adrenaline was at an all time high. She pointed it straight at Lauren. She had a perfect shot from where she was standing. She cocked the gun back debating on if she should use it or not. She remembered what her father use to tell her. "Don't pull out a weapon and not use it. Remember your the one in control" Sky walked straight up to Lauren and fired. The bullet went straight through her head. She died instantly.

Sky never felt so more alive then she did at that moment. She ran back to Ken's car and he drove off. "Sky" he said looking at her. She ignored him and stared out the window. She laid her head back and closed her eyes. He drove to his apartment. He couldn't believe that she just killed Lauren but last night she was so in shock. He made a mental note to ask her about that.

Jayceon's phone woke him up. He looked at his phone and answered it without seeing who was. "What" he yelled into the phone. He now took this opportunity to sit up in bed. He had a headache and didn't even know what time it was.

"Wake your ass up nigga" the caller said. He knew exactly who it was. He sighed and rubbed his eyes. He looked over at the clock. 3:30pm. "Fuck" He said to himself.

"Ken I'll be over to your place within the next hour." He said into the phone and hung up. Jay hopped in the shower and put on some Levi jeans, black polo v-neck shirt with his retro black and red 11's. He made sure he fed the dogs then headed to Ken's place. He drove the same car he borrowed from him.
