The Reigning Sky

CHAPTER 16

Diamond and Asia were sitting in their apartment. They haven't been to work since the day they left the precinct. They also haven't talked to each other. Asia wanted so badly to contact Ace but she knew Diamond wouldn't let her.

"I can't believe you told them motherfuckers I killed mama and her crack headed boyfriend. You're a fucking sell out I hate you." Diamond said to Asia.

Asia just sat there in the living room. She said nothing while her sister went to her room. Asia was beyond frustrated at her twin. She decided to call Ace and tell him what happened. Everything they have ever been through he was always there for them.

"Wassup baby girl?" Ace answered. He hadn't heard from the in a while but he still had his ear in the streets. He knew what happened to Lauren but never had confirmation that Sky was actually the killer.

"I can't take it anymore. Diamond is going crazy. Lauren was killed and now she thinks it's her duty to put the person in jail for it. I can't do this anymore Ace. I wish I would've just left with you when I had the chance." Asia said between sobs.

Ace was silent the whole time. He had a soft spot for Asia. He knew her sister was the one to blame for all the drama she's been through. He helped out only because of her. There was no other reason but he really wanted to kill Diamond for making Asia's life a living hell.

"Baby girl it's okay I got this. Don't worry about anything. I'll fix this for you. I promise." He responded.

Just then he heard Asia scream and Diamond's voice. It sounded like they were wrestling and Diamond had the upper hand. Ace hated that he wasn't there right now.

"You fucking bitch. You called him didn't you". Diamond yelled.

She was on top of Asia chocking her. She began to punch her twin sister in the face. She busted her lip and broke her nose. Diamond didn't stop she kept on hitting her until Asia wasn't breathing anymore. Once she got up she grabbed the phone to talk to Ace who heard everything.

"Hey Ace. Asia can't come to the phone right now she's dead." She said laughing into the phone.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He hung up and promised himself that he will kill Diamond no matter what it took. She was dead to him and he was out for blood. Diamond went to her room and continued to pack her bags. She had to get out of New York and now that her sister was dead she had no reason to be here.

As soon as she walked out her apartment she walked right into Detective Benson who was with to officers. Someone in their building had called the police with all the commotion they heard. Diamond stopped right in her tracks. Once she seen who was in front of her she ran back inside.

"Diamond Cruz we are here for a noise complaint." Said Officer Bennett.

He made sure it was clear to walk into the apartment. He gave Officer Kyle and Detective Benson the okay and they entered. Once inside they came across Asia's body in the living room. Officer Kyle drew out his weapon and made sure the rest of the house was clear. When they came to the last bedroom the door was locked.

"Ms. Cruz please unlock the door. We will need to take you down to the station." Detective Benson said.

"No fuck you. You already know that I killed my stupid ass sister. She deserved it and now I'm going to be with her." Diamond yelled.

Officer Bennett broke down the bedroom door and entered. Diamond had the gun pointed straight at him. She didn't care what was going to happen next. She stepped back as he stood there with his gun pointed at her. Detective Benson entered the room to try and stop Diamond. He wanted her help to get Sky arrested so he tried to calm her down.

"Diamond it's okay please put the gun down." He said walking to her.

"No don't come any closer or I swear to God I will shoot you. You fucking pig!" Diamond yelled.

She had the gun pointed straight at him and she fired. She shot him in the right shoulder. Officer Bennett then shot her three times; twice in the chest and once in her arm. Diamond dropped down and was instantly dead.

"Detective Benson are you okay?" Asked Officer Bennett.

"You've got to be kidding me. Two fucking witnesses dead. This has to be some fucking joke. Call the fucking coroner." No one comes in this building or leaves. Said Detective Benson.

Mike and Ron were outside the twins apartment and watched the enter the building. They kept a good distance but decided to stick around and get as much information as they could. Officer Kyle, the rookie was out front to inform the pedestrians they would not be able to leave or enter the building.

"Hello officer. My grandmother leaves in this building and is very sick. Is it possible for me to check on her?" Asked Ron.

"I'm apologize sir no one can enter at this time." Officer Kyle responded.

"I understand. If you don't mind can you tell me what happened. I just need to know my grandmother wasn't involved." Said Ron.

"It's a murder sir and that's all I can tell you. Please move from in front of the building." He replied motioning them to move.

They moved to the side while the coroner came out with the bodies. They just knew that it was the twins but needed conformation. Just then a elder lady started screaming.

"No, not Asia and Diamond. Oh God those girls were such sweethearts. I can't believe they are gone." The lady yelled.

"Ma'am please stand back. I'm sorry for your lost but we need you to please stand back." Officer Bennett stated.

Mike and Ron headed back to their car and headed to Kendall's place. Mike phone rang and he answered it. It was Sky.

"What's up?" Asked Mike.

"I need you to meet me at Jay's house. I need your help Mike. Meet me there tonight." Sky responded.

She disconnected the phone and Mike sat there in the car wondering what she needed his help for. He would soon find out until then he played the guessing game.
