The spell

The four of them snuck into Trixie's Temple of Death. Stephany took the lead with Toto at her side. Jay asked, "I thought there would be guards here or something." P.I.X.A.L grabbed a bucket of water from a nearby well. "I heard water melts witches, so it might be handy," she said. They all walked through the temple, following Toto closely, until they heard a shrill voice call. "Ah, you brought me my dog!" They all turned around to see Trixie behind them. She walked towards them when P.I.X.A.L splashed the water on her. Trixie stood there, smiling, all soaked. "Pix, why didn't the water do anything?" Jay asked. "I don't know, Jay, but I suggest we run for our lives," P.I.X.A.L yelled as they all began to run. "STOP!" Trixie yelled as she showed a vision of the ninja in the cell. "I will kill them all right now... unless," Trixie said. "Unless what?" Jay asked as he walked to her. Trixie picked up Toto and petted him on the head. "Give me my dog, you crazy lady!" Stephany yelled. Trixie looked down at her and said, "So this is the little brat who stole my powers. And my dog, it seems." Jay got in front of Stephany and said, "Steph, please, I don't want you to get hurt. I'll get Toto, just stay behind me." "Oh, ain't that cute," Trixie laughed. "What do you want?" Jay demanded. Trixie said, "Jay, come with me. Ernest, take out the new guests to the rest!" "Jay!" Skylor yelled as she was dragged off by Ernest.

"It's okay, guys, take care of Nya for me," Jay cried as Trixie led him into a room. "Sit," Trixie told him as she motioned to a loveseat. Jay did as he was told, and Trixie sat beside him. "When are you going to kill me?" Jay asked. "Oh, I just need a moment to figure out how to do it," Trixie said as she paced around the room, trying to figure out how she should kill Jay. "Ah! I got it. I need you to stand right here for the curse," Trixie exclaimed. Jay took a breath. He stood there for a moment, knowing he was about to die. He saw memories flash before his eyes.

"We're saving a girl. Is she hot?"

"He wants to know if you like blue," Zane said. "Yes, blue is my favorite color," Nya said as her face turned red. Then Jay saw his and Nya's first date; he closed his eyes and grabbed her hand tight. She kissed his cheek, and he turned back into a human. Then he felt his body beginning to burn. Nya's voice echoed through his head. He stopped, and he thought, "I'm never going to see Nya again. Tell her I love her one last time."

He then thought of Cole... "I'm Cole, what's your name, kid?" Cole said as he shook Jay's hand. "I'm Jay, nice to meet you! So, what do you do around here?" he asked. "Eh, mostly train and stuff," Cole smiled. "But I do have Fist to Face 3 if you want to play that." Jay nodded, and the two boys spent the whole day playing video games together. "Cole, I'm so scared," Jay thought.

Trixie began her spell, "Bad cess on you. Devil take you. May you never prosper..." Ernest took Skylor, P.I.X.A.L, and Stephany to the cell with the rest of the ninja. "Get in there, you little brats!" Ernest yelled as he shoved them into the cell. "Are you okay?" Zane asked as he helped P.I.X.A.L up. The rest rushed over to them, and Nya yelled, "Was Jay with you? Is he okay?" Skylor told her, "He was, but Trixie took him to another room." Stephany huddled in a corner of the cell. She wondered what Trixie was doing to Jay and what would happen to Toto.

Trixie was trying to do the curse, but Toto was biting at her skirt. She picked him up and said, "What a nice little dog." She then turned to an Oni and demanded, "Take him to the river and have him drowned." As the Oni put Toto in a sack, Jay noticed there was a hole at the bottom of the sack. Toto was wiggling through the hole and dropped to the floor. Toto then snuck out of the room and went to find Stephany before Trixie could finish her curse. Toto ran down the hall and into an elevator. He then stood on his back legs and pushed the button to go down to the dungeon. When the doors open Toto ran to the cell that has Stephany sent.

Jay was looking out the window when he felt someone tap his shoulder. Trixie was holding a vial of black liquid. "Drink, child," she commanded. Jay wrinkled his nose and said, "No, lady, my mom told me never to drink anything from a stranger. And I've never met anyone stranger than you." Trixie smiled and told him, "I could always have Ray and Maya's little girl brat killed. What was her name... oh, right, Nya." Jay sighed and took the potion from her. The potion scorched down his throat like fire. His vision blurred. His knees gave out.

Once Toto reached the cell, he began to bark. Stephany turned her head and yelled, "Toto!" Toto let out a small yip as he tried to fit through the bars. "Heh, you're a little big to sneak in, buddy," Kai said as he knelt down next to Stephany. Kai noticed that Ernest had dropped the keys. (He got an idea.) "Hey, Toto, get the keys, bud. Come on, get the keys," Kai commented to Toto. Toto did as he was told and grabbed the keys in his mouth and carried them over to Kai. He then grabbed the keys from Toto and unlocked the bars. The ninja ran out of the cell. Nya and Cole ran in front, trying to find Jay before it was too late. Each of them split up to check the temple. Cole and Nya found a room. "It's locked," Nya said. Cole kicked down the door to find Tricia looking over Jay.

Cole grabbed Trixie by the collar. "Where is he?! What did you do to him, witch?!"

"Cole... Nya..." Jay's voice rasped weakly.

Nya's head snapped toward him. "Jay!" She ran, catching him just as he collapsed. His body fell into her lap like a broken wing.

"Jay! Hey—hey, look at me!" she sobbed, brushing the hair from his forehead.

"N- Nya, it hurts," he whispered, his voice barely a breath.

You're gonna be fine," she choked out, tears streaking her face.

Cole dropped Trixie as she vanished in a swirl of smoke. He rushed to Jay's side. "Zane! Kai!"

Kai and Zane skidded into the room, the others behind them.

Jay's breaths were shallow. His fingers brushed Nya's cheek, shaky and cold. "I'm... so glad I got to see you "

"No. No. Don't you dare say that," she cried, clutching his hand.

Jay whispered. "I love you."

His eyes fluttered. One last tear slipped down his cheek. His hand went limp in hers.

"Jay?" Nya's voice cracked. "Jay, no! no, no, no!"

Zane checked his pulse, but his expression said it all.

"Nya..." Cole's voice broke.

Nya buried her face in Jay's chest, her sobs echoing through the temple.

Cole clenched his fists, jaw tight with grief. Kai turned away, punching the wall. P.I.X.A.L covered her mouth to stifle a sob.

Cole lifted Jay's body gently, his own eyes wet. "We're taking him home. Sensei will know what to do. He has to."

Nya held Jay's hand the entire way out of the temple, refusing to let go. As the wind howled through the corridors, her whisper was the only sound that remained.

"I love you too."
