Jay was in the courtyard of the monastery with Stephany. Jay was trying to teach her spinjitzu, but Stephany failed every time. "Stephany, look, you just jump up, kick around, and spin," Jay tried to tell her. Stephany jumped up and tried to spin, but she fell on her face. Jay walked up to her and helped her up. Stephany kicked a rock, and then a bird fell from the sky, dead. Jay picked it up; it was dead. Suddenly, more birds fell from the sky, dead. Stephany looked at the birds and tried to stop, but with every dead bird, her anxiety became worse. She started hyperventilating and fell to her knees, crying. Jay sat beside her, trying to comfort her. "Hey, hey now, let's just calm down," Jay soothingly told her. Stephany took her shaking hand away from her face; her red eyes seemed to glow.

They stood up and were walking back inside when Stephany heard something rooting through the garbage. She slowly walked out to the dumpster and then opened the lid. A small spotted puppy jumped out at her. Stephany picked up the puppy and took a closer look at him. The puppy was as thin as a stick and looked very dehydrated. Stephany rushed into the monastery and ran to her room. She put the puppy down on a blanket, and it curled up and licked her hand.

"Hey, you're actually really cute. What should I call you?" Stephany said to the puppy. She looked around and saw a book, "The Wizard of Oz." That was when Stephany got an idea – a very good idea for her new puppy's name. "Hey, what do you think about the name Toto?" Stephany asked the puppy. The puppy jumped up and ran to her. "Toto it is," Stephany exclaimed as Toto curled up in her arms.

After he was done training, Stephany, Jay walked into his and Nya's room. He sat down on the bed and pulled out the photo of him and his biological parents. He sat there for hours until Cole came in and asked, "Hey, buddy, are you okay?" Jay sat up, nodded, and headed to the dining room. Maya and Ray were talking to Kai and Nya. Ray walked up to Wu and asked, "Are you sure we should tell him? Maybe we can wait another year, make sure she is really gone."

Wu nodded and stroked his beard, saying, "Ray, listen, Libber really wants to see him. And with Stephany here, I think she might actually be dead." Ray looked at Nya and Kai and said, "I don't want my kids going with him to see her. I'm still not sure she is really dead."

Garmadon walked up to them and said, "Ray, we've been putting it off ever since he was eighteen; we need to tell him, and I would really like to see Libber again."

When Jay entered the room, they all went silent. Jay took note and asked, "Um, why did you stop talking?" Maya brushed it off and said, "Jay, there is something we need to tell you. I know this is hard, but your mother..." Jay interrupted, "She is alive." Wu said, "Yes, Jay, and she really wants to see you before your birthday." "Well, I've got to pack," Jay tried to run and get his stuff together for the trip.

Ray grabbed his son-in-law's arm and said, "Jay, listen, there is danger out there that will find you; I don't want you to go alone." Nya walked up to Jay, took his hand, and told her father, "Dad, please, I'm going with him; he will be safe." Jay asked, "Ray, what is there to worry about? All the danger in Ninjago is gone." Ray looked out the window and whispered, "Not all of it. Trixie, I know you're out there, and I plan to keep him and my family safe from you."
