Libber was ordering servants around, telling them how to set up the villa. Edward, the butler, asked, "Ms. Gordon, is this really necessary for Master Jay?" Libber walked up to him and said, "Eddie, yes, this is necessary. My son is coming home today, along with his fiancée and the new master of death, and we need to make a good impression." Edward nodded and walked off to put up some birthday decorations for Jay.
"Hey, Ray, are we there yet?" Cole asked. Ray looked at Cole and said, "We are almost there." After a minute went by, Cole asked again, "Are we there yet?" Ray ignored Cole as much as he could, but Cole looked at Jay and gave him a little smirk. Jay returned a smile, and then he asked, "Hey, Ray, are we there yet?" Cole and Jay then shouted in unison, "Ray, are we there yet?" multiple times. Ray turned and yelled at the two, "Shut up before I kick you two out of this car!" "Dad," Nya cried. Stephany cracked up at the top of her lungs with Kai. Nya slid next to Jay and kissed him, and Ray yelled, "Jay, watch what you do with her, or I'll come back there." They all kept laughing until they reached where the GPS told them Tempestas was.
Kai, Cole, Nya, Jay, and Stephany all got out of the car. Stephany asked, "I don't see Tempestas anywhere." Nya looked around and said, "Neither do I, Steph." Jay watched them all look around, and then Jay looked up and saw pieces of ground in the sky. Suddenly, the sky grew dark, and a storm came by. A staircase made from lightning came down at him. Jay took a breath and stepped one foot on the stairs. Cole yelled, "Jay, what are you doing?" Jay looked back at Cole and said, "Don't worry, I'll come back." Jay climbed the stairs and was led to a parlor. Sitting on a blue and gold couch was a woman with sky-blue eyes and golden hair. She looked at him and smiled. "Wow, I have her smile," Jay thought to himself. Jay walked up to the woman slowly and stopped right in front of her.
Libber looked at Jay; he looked so much like her. The freckles on his cheeks, nose, and the rest of his body. The smile he did when he saw her. But his hair wasn't reddish-blond from the last time she saw him. Sure, he had grown up, but his hair was now dark brown, and one of his eyes was hazelnut brown. "When did he develop heterochromia?" Libber asked herself. She felt herself start to cry. Jay was here; now she had finally seen him. Not from pictures Wu sent her in the mail or from watching him from afar. Jay saw that the woman was crying, and he hugged her, saying, "Hi... Mom."
