jisung woke up when his alarm went off, whining, before slowly sitting up and opening his eyes.
he looked on his side, a little surprised to see that minho was not laying next to him.

furrowing his eyebrows, jisung made his way out of the room, his heart calming down a bit when he saw minho in the kitchen.

"good morning."
jisung yawned, making his way to his boyfriend.

minho turned around, startled, smiling slightly when he saw jisung making his way to him.
"good morning."

jisung rested his head on minho's shoulder to see what his boyfriend was making for breakfast, smiling when he saw a bread with avocado spread, egg sunny side up on top of it. it looked delicious.

suddenly, minho turned around, pulling jisung in for a hug. minho rested his forehead on jisung's shoulder, holding him like he was made out of glass, and just one harsh action will break him.

jisung was a little taken aback, before he gently wrapped his arms around him as well, caressing minho's back. honestly, minho was acting a bit weird today. jisung never woke up in a bed without minho, and for some reason, his boyfriend just felt like he had something on his mind.

"are you okay?"
jisung asked sweetly.

minho nodded, yet he didn't let go of jisung.

jisung just continued caressing minho's back. it was obvious that minho needed a hug, a reassurance. and they had some time, so until minho was ready, jisung wouldn't let go.

moments later, minho gently let go of jisung.
"I'm sorry."

"hey, why are you apologizing?"
jisung asked, cupping minho's cheeks.

for not being there for you when you needed me? for not saving you from hyunjin earlier? for not being able to protect you?
minho thought, looking into jisung's innocent eyes.
"I don't know."

"then why are you apologizing dummy?"
jisung chuckled, placing a quick peck full of love on minho's nose.
"you have nothing to apologize for."

minho kept staring at jisung, who was now fixing the collar of the shirt minho was wearing.
"also when did you have the time to change and cook breakfast in the meantime?"

"I just couldn't fall asleep. I woke up early."
minho said.

"I can tell. you have eye bags under your eyes."
jisung said.
"and I didn't wake up next to you."

minho stayed silent.

"sweetheart look, I know that something is wrong with you. if you don't want to talk about it, i will of course respect that. but I want you to know that I'm here for you, okay? I'm your partner, I'm going to support you no matter what and be a shoulder to cry on. all you have to do is just to lean on me. I will be your pillar."
jisung said, still holding the collar of minho's shirt.

minho sighed, putting his hands on top of jisung's.
"we will be late."

"I'm sure we have some time. we can eat breakfast on the way, you're already ready, and I'm gonna be quick, okay? so if there is something you would like to tell me, you can."
jisung said.

minho kept looking at jisung, before closing his eyes.
"something happened at work yesterday."

jisung nodded, motioning for him to continue.
inside, he was happy that minho was opening up to him. he knew that minho found it hard.

"I don't know if you ever noticed, but I have you as my Lock Screen."
minho said, making jisung widen his eyes, because he, in fact, had no idea.

minho chuckled.
"well, let's just say that I'm currently being forced to work with everyone in the office, and that includes hyunjin. he saw my wallpaper and confronted me about it."

jisung sighed, already having the idea where this was going, considering the fact minho was mentioning hyunjin.
"go on."

"he...said some things. one of them being that he...he made the scar that you have on your hip."
minho said.

jisung pressed his lips into a thin line, letting out another sigh.
"yes, that is true."

"can you tell me how he..."
minho wasn't able to finish the sentence.
he just couldn't.

jisung took a deep breath.
"how about we talked about this later?"
he said.
he wasn't ready to bring up those memories.

minho nodded, gently caressing jisung's shoulders.
"of course. tell me when you're ready. don't feel like I'm pushing you into it. I'm gonna wait until you're ready to share those memories with me."
he said, giving his boyfriend a reassuring smile.

jisung just looked back at him, tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

minho sighed, gently cupping jisung's cheek and wiping off the tears that were about to fall down his cheek.
"don't cry."
he said gently.
"where is that pretty smile of yours?"
with that, minho suddenly tickled jisung, making him laugh.

"minho stop!"
jisung laughed, trying to stop his boyfriend from torturing him.

"there is that smile!"
minho said, finally stopping with the tickling.

jisung chuckled, shaking his head.
"I can't believe you."

"and I can't believe that you're this beautiful."
minho said.

"you're complimenting me a lot."
jisung said.
"and I mean a LOT."

"I'm not, I'm just speaking my mind. it's your fault for being this amazing."
minho shrugged.

"there is it again!"
jisung said in a scolding tone, smacking minho's chest lightly.

"what? you don't like it?"
minho asked.

"I quite enjoy it actually, it's just that...I'm not really used to getting so many compliments."
jisung said, looking at minho's chest.

minho smiled sadly, placing his hand under jisung's chin, making him look up.
"my love, I want you to know that they aren't just an empty words I'm telling you because I have to. I mean everything that I say. you're the prettiest person I ever laid eyes on, and I'm never gonna stop reminding you that until you yourself will believe it."
he said, giving him a kiss.
"I love you jisung. with all my heart."

"I love you too."
jisung whispered.
"but we really have to go now if you don't want to be late for work."
he chuckled.
