the leafs were falling down behind the window as jisung laid on the couch, his hair a mess while wearing his huge ass fluffy hoodie to keep him warm, watching a movie, the cats laying on top of him.
it was Saturday, but minho disappeared after lunch, telling him that he will be home soon, and that he will just go buy groceries and maybe stop and say hello to yeonjun because it was his birthday a few weeks back, and he didn't have the chance to see him yet, because yeonjun was on vacation in Spain. yeonjun didn't like to celebrate, but he always appreciated if his friends remembered and just texted him happy birthday or stopped by. according to minho.

so now, it was five pm, and minho still nowhere.
just as jisung was about to pick up the phone and call his boyfriend to figure out if he was alright, the door of their apartment opened, revealing that minho was home.

the cats immediately ran towards the door curiously, as jisung bended his head over the arm of the couch, looking back to see minho lay the groceries on the table, before making his way towards jisung, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"oh who gave you the permission to look this beautiful my love?"
minho said, kissing jisung in the true spider man way.

jisung gently put his hands on minho's cheeks, smiling into the kiss, before pulling away.
"how was your little adventure? did you say happy birthday to yeonjun for me?"

minho nodded.
"of course. I stayed behind a bit longer than I wanted to, sorry for keeping you waiting."

"it's okay, I had an amazing mom and sons day with our children."
jisung said, smiling.

"alright then."
minho returned the smile.
"I had this idea that we could cook dinner together if you wanted? I bought things for this amazing recipe I found, you're going to love it."

"that's a wonderful idea!"
jisung stood up.
"what is it?"

"I'm not telling you until we get everything ready."
minho smirked, kissing jisung's cheek, before leading him towards the kitchen, making jisung laugh.

"alright big boy, what are we making?"
jisung asked, patting minho's muscular back.

the couple spend around an hour cooking, laughing, and annoying each other.

cooking together was minho's favorite activity. the comfortable atmosphere, laughter filled in the air, jisung's arms wrapped around his waist as he did the more difficult things jisung wasn't expected in yet.
it was just perfect.
like every single moment he spend with jisung.

putting the deliciously smelling food on two plates, minho placed them on the table, jisung going to the fridge to take them beers to drink with their food.

"oh my god, it's so good!"
jisung said, his mouth full.

"of course it is, we made it with love."
minho smiled, wiping jisung's mouth with his thumb, because he had a bit of the sauce on his lip.

at this point, it was quite normal, so jisung didn't even flinch when he felt minho's finger on his lips.

"do you know where doongie is?"
minho suddenly asked.

jisung turned around to see if he was on the cat tree.
"no, I-"
his eyes went wide when he turned back, seeing minho on the floor, kneeling on one knee in front of him.

"han jisung, it's been over a year since we started sharing the same soul. but if i should be honest, i feel like we have been sharing the same soul since we were born. i have no idea where i would be right now if i never met you, or if i never had fallen in love with you. I can only thank the universe for sending me someone like you, my other half. I want to thank you for all of the wonderful moments we shared together, for always being there for me, and for being my pillar. you're the person i want to grow old with, share our boring, happy, even sad days together, and always be on each other's side. you're the person im meant to be with, and that's why im asking you..."
minho reached into his pocket, pulling out a small box, opening it to reveal a beautiful ring.
"...will you marry me?"

tears ran down jisung's cheeks as he was holding his face.
"yes!"
he sobbed out, before practically throwing himself on minho, wrapping his arms around minho's neck.
"yes, of course i will marry you!"

minho, still kneeling, holding the box with a ring in his right hand and crying jisung in the left, couldn't hide the tears anymore, and with a huge smile buried his head in jisung's neck, breathing in the familiar scent.

for a few moments, they just stayed like this, enjoying this moment, before minho gently sat jisung down on his thigh, cupping his cheek and pulling him in for a sweet, loving kiss full of emotions.

tear fell down minho's cheek as he took the ring from the box, gently taking jisung's hand and sliding it on his finger, before kissing the diamond on the ring.

jisung let out a sweet chuckle, looking at minho with his teary eyes.

"I love you."
minho said, connecting their foreheads.
"so much."

"I love you too."
jisung smiled, not even caring how minho's tears fell on his face.
because to be honest, he was more then sure his tears were falling on minho's face as well.

"wait, I do not love you."
jisung suddenly pouted, pulling away.
"how dare you propose to me when I look like this? couldn't you give me a heads up so I would have the time to make myself pretty?"

minho kissed his cheek.
"sweetheart, you're always pretty, even in this huge ass hoodie. besides, if I gave you a heads up it wouldn't be a surprise anymore. and I know you wouldn't be happy with a proposal in some glorious fancy restaurant with so many people around. I think it's perfect like this. just you, me, being comfortable..."

"I'm changing my mind, I do love you."
jisung said.

minho just playfully rolled his eyes, pulling jisung in for a hug.

as they laid in bed that night, jisung cuddled up to his fiancé, already sleeping, minho gently took jisung's hand laying on his chest, expecting the ring. it fit on jisung's finger perfectly, just as the ring fit to jisung. the diamond was big, shiny, just like jisung's doe eyes.

letting out a small chuckle, minho laid jisung's hand back on his chest, before looking at his fiancé.

his fiancé.
oh how nice that sounded.

someone would say that having only a year of dating behind is too early for proposal, but minho couldn't care less. he loved jisung with his entire being and soul, and he couldn't imagine himself with anyone else.

he would keep jisung safe and happy until the day he dies.
