{ Chapter 1 }

The clock started beeping, blaring it's red light in my face letting me know it's time to get up for school. My head was pounding with a headache for what seemed like the thousandth time now. I sulked out of bed and headed toward the medicine cabinet and grabbed the oh too familiar pain killers. But once I saw my reflection in the mirror, I lost my breath and dropped the bottle. There was bruises scattered all over my neck and all along my jaw.

"Shit." I murmured under my breath hoping my parents didn't hear anything. I stood there staring at all the little bites wondering how the hell they got there.

"Casey, you ready yet?"

fuck, I mentally cursed.

"Not yet, I'll be down soon." I yelled. I quickly threw on some makeup before I exited the bathroom hoping this wouldn't be a crappy morning.

"Yo Casey!"

I quickly turned around, wincing at the pain from my current headache. It was currently lunch and the headache from this morning wasn't gone. I dreaded for the day to end so I don't have to see this hell hole anymore.

"Hey you okay?" my friend Aspyn said.

"Yea I'm fine," I waved off "just got another-"

Aspyn threw a bottle of Advil before I could finish almost as if she knew what was wrong.

"What would I do without you?" I smiled thanking her. "So what's up" I asked before swallowing the pills.

"Well" she said exaggerating the word, "I heard that there's a new kid, and apparently he's looking for you."

"Oh really?" I said rubbing my temples. Why the hell won't this goddamn headache go away? "What's his name?"

"Clifford something," she said as she shrugged.

"Are you kidding me." I said as horror laced my words. It couldn't be not him, anyone but him. I ran to the restrooms before Aspyn got a chance to say anything back.

The little fucker had came back.
