{ Chapter 12 }

I wake up to the sound of rain and soft snores that filled the room. I turn onto my back and look over to see Luke sleeping comfortably. I close my eyes and try to go back to sleep but I soon here a soft tapping in my window. I ignored it and snuggled closer to Luke, it seemed that it was about 1 in the morning according to my clock and I didn't want to stay up, but the tapping wouldn't stop. I finally give in and head over to the window quietly trying not to wake up Luke. I look outside and find nothing but as I head back to the bed the tapping begins again. I go back and check up on it again, I unhooked the latched and I opened the window struggling a little since it was stuck. I finally got it open and looked outside. Above me there was nothing but dark clouds and raindrops that were falling onto my face, I looked down and I see a basket full of tied up socks and a face staring up at me.

"Who are you and what do you want?" I whisper-yelled.

"Nice to see you too Cass, let me in" the voice cried back "It's me Michael."

I huff, "Why are you here it's one in the morning and it's raining?"

"I wanted to talk, have some pizza, and maybe cuddle?" he replied, "Cmon Cass let me in I'm soaked."

I groan. I didn't want to deal with this, this early in the morning. Especially with Luke here. They both don't hate each other but I just don't want any of them thinking of anything that could possibly start rumors. "Fine just come to the front door." I cry back. I head towards the stairs to the front door. I unlock the locks and see a wet red head standing there dripping with a grin. "Wipe that grin off your face, and your shoes too. I don't want mom to come home blaming me for the mess you're going to make." He steps inside and heads towards the living room. I find a towel for him to dry off.

"I'll go upstairs quickly and find you a pair of clothes to change into." I said handing him the towel. I rush upstairs and find a plain white shirt from my dad and a pair of sweats. I quickly head over to my room to check on Like and he's still fast asleep. I close the door so Michael won't find him just incase he comes up here. I go back downstairs and find Michael sitting in the couch with Steven Universe on the TV singing along to the theme song.

The song finishes playing and I toss the pair of clothes on his head. I go to the refrigerator and pull out some pizza while Michael is changing. I set the pizza in the oven and wait for it to cook. I push the two couches together forming a large bed and bring out a comforter and a long pillow. I turn the heater on and jump back onto the couch. I lay back and go on my phone to waste time.

I hear a door close and see a tired Michael come out. "Stop looking at me" he says rubbing his eyes "when will the pizza be ready?"

"in about 15 minutes, there was only Hawaiian so." I look back on my phone. Not much was happening, I was about to text Aspyn but I didn't want to bother her. I lock my phone and set it down. Michael makes his way towards the couch and lays on top of me. He looks up to me and just stares. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

"No, I just miss your face." I smack him in the head. "hey I thought you missed me too." To be honest I did miss him. I missed is smile, I missed his laugh, I missed him coming over to my house asking me if he wanted to play the latest video games or some dorky shows. But I wasn't about to admit that. I was about to reply but the timer ringed so I pushed him off of me and go to the oven.

I wake up and find Michael gone. I struggle to get up feeling extra lazy. I look at my phone and the first thing I see is Michael with me sleeping as my lock screen. I unlock my phone and I see a text message, and it's from Luke.

Lil Hemmo: hey I saw you were with Michael earlier so I just left. I'll see you later.

I sigh and sink into the couch. I hoped this wouldn't have happened.

I shoved myself up and head for the shower to get ready for school.
