  "Hey, it's Rory. Hope we can hang out soon," My phone buzzed.

  "Hi! Definitely, whenever works!" I replied.

  I didn't wait for a reply, instead I went downstairs and my mum and James were in the kitchen making lunch.

  "Minx, hello honey," My mum smiled.

  "Hi," I smiled, pulling my hair into a ponytail, "I'm going to go see Dad."

  I had told my mum about Dad last week. Of course she was devastated and she went to visit him. Although they are divorced, they still are friendly with each other and care about each other. My mum has been visiting him every so often, but I've been going more and more often because Dr. Valerie says he's getting drastically worse lately, meaning he probably doesn't have long to live.

  "Ok sweetie, I'll visit him a bit later today," My mum nodded as I left.

  I drove down to the hospital and went to the same room as always.

  "Minx," Dr. Valerie said as I stepped out of the elevator.

  "Hi," I smiled.

  "Your father is asleep right now, he has been restless for the past few days, so it's good that he's sleeping, so if possible, would it be okay if you didn't awake him?" Dr. Valerie asked.

  "Yeah, that's fine. I'll maybe come back later," I nodded.

  "Thank you," Dr. Valerie grinned sympathetically.

  I turned around and left the hospital, checking my phone on the way out. Rory had texted me back and we planned to meet tomorrow at James' house.

  But for now I called Joe to see if he wanted to meet up.

  "Hey Minx," Joe said as he picked up the phone, "I'm filming a video right now, do you want to come over?"

  "Oh, um, sure," I said quickly before Joe acknowledged and hung up.

  On my way to Joe's and Caspar's flat, Joe texted me saying the door is unlocked and to let myself in. I did so and made my way downstairs to see both Joe and Caspar either filming or editing.

  "Hey Minx!" Caspar smiled.

  "Minxie," Joe said, giving me a hug.

  "Hey," I nodded to them both.

  I watched them as they finished their videos and did the outros. Afterwards, Caspar vlogged as he edited his video and Joe came and gave me a proper hello.

  "How are you?" Joe asked quietly.

  "I've been better," I nodded, looking down.

  "How's Gordon?"

  "Not so well, I actually went to see him but he was resting so Dr. Valerie asked if I could come back later."

  "It'll be okay," Joe nodded, kissing my cheek.

  "And look at these love-birds," Caspar said into the camera.

  "Edit that out Casp," Joe said.

  "Fine," Caspar groaned.

  Caspar walked out of Joe's room, still vlogging.

  Joe leaned and gave me a kiss, which I gladly returned. Moments like this, when Joe and I are affectionate, makes me feel bad about even talking, let alone going to hang out, with Rory.

  "What're you thinking about?" Joe questioned.

  "Nothing," I lied, giving him another kiss.
