"I think that's the last trick-or-treater tonight," I yawned, turning off the front light and closing the door.
"Me too, it's getting late," Joe nodded.
"I'm exhausted and I think I've eaten more of this candy that we've handed out," I giggled.
"That's fine baby," Joe smiled.
I put the candy away before joining Joe on the sofa. He ran his fingers through my hair as I laid my head on his lap.
"I feel so gross," I muttered.
"Why?"
"I don't know. I feel old because I'm always tired and feeling sick, sore, and fat and the pregnancy's barely getting going," I groaned.
"You are not old!" Joe laughed, "Or fat! And you're pregnant, you're quite literally making another person, I'm pretty sure that'll make you tired and sore."
"I know, but still," I shrugged.
"I'm actually surprised on how you're handling all of this, because of how quick it's all happening," Joe smiled.
"Well, I'm extremely nervous. I'm terrified to give birth and labour. I'm scared to be a mum. Also, I'm afraid I'll not think about something and end up hurting the baby."
"You're worrying too much," Joe smirked.
"I know, but it's what I think about. Like what if I'm a horrible mother?!"
"How? How would you be a 'horrible mother'?"
"I don't know," I groaned, "But right now, everything's a possibility!"
"Calm down and don't worry so much. I'm sure that's not good for the baby," Joe smiled, leaning down and giving me a kiss on the temple.
"See, I'm already messing up," I breathed.
"No, Minxie, you'll be a perfect mum. As long as we have each other, this will all work out. Remember what the old man, Charlie, said on the plane back from Miami?"
"Yeah," I nodded.
"So, we'll be fine," Joe nodded, "Anyway, I don't mean to natter, but we should probably go to bed."
"Yes!" I playfully cheered.
So far, I've noticed that not only am I constantly tired and the smell of smoke makes me throw up, I've also been keen to changing my mood, unintentionally of course. One minute I'll be sad and then I'll be happy and vis versa.
"Come on," Joe laughed lightly as he got up from the couch.
I got up and changed into my pyjamas, stopping to look at my almost nonexistent baby bump.
"See, that's the baby," I smiled, rubbing my stomach to show Joe the small bump.
"It just looks like you've eaten a bit too much," He joked.
"Thanks," I laughed sarcastically.
"Hm, do you think it's a boy or a girl?" Joe asked.
"Oh God, I have no idea," I smiled, laying down next to Joe.
Joe leaned over to turn off the lamp.
"Minxie?"
"Hm?" I mumbled.
"I love you," Joe said quietly.
"I love you too," I smiled as I fell asleep.
°
"F.uck," I groaned, jumping out of bed.
I ran into the bathroom and threw up in toilet.
"Minx?" Joe said as he woke up.
