"Minx? I wasn't expecting you until later," My mum said as she answered the door.

"Not you too," I groaned, "I've just been worried about Noah."

"Where's Joe?"

"At my flat."

"Is everything okay?" My mum asked.

"Yeah," I nodded flatly.

"Alright darling. Well Noah is asleep in the baby carrier," My mum nodded.

"Perfect, thank you," I said, as I picked up his baby bag.

"Are you sure everything's okay?" My mum asked again.

"Yes. I'm just frustrated and tired," I said, sitting on the sofa to pack Noah's bottles.

"Do you want us to take Noah for the night?" My mum asked, "So you can have a full nights sleep?"

"No, that'll make it worse," I breathed.

"Okay darling. Is everything between you and Joe okay? I know having a baby can bring stress to any relationship."

"We're fine," I huffed.

"Okay."

"Sorry Mum. I just need to get home. I'm tired," I nodded.

"I love you darling."

"I love you too Mum."

I gave her a quick hug and picked up Noah in the baby carrier before heading back to my flat.

"Shh," I hummed as Noah woke up and started crying on the way home.

Once I parked up, I hopped out of the car and tended to Noah, quickly carrying him inside.

"Shush," I whispered, taking him out of the baby carrier and holding him.

I sat down and fed him so he would calm down.

"Is he okay?" Joe asked.

"Mhm," I nodded, looking at Noah to avoid eye contact with Joe.

"I love you Minx," Joe said quietly, sitting down next to me.

"Love you too," I said, a bit too sharply.

"Minxie, please. Everything's fine," Joe hummed, rubbing my shoulders.

"Everything's not fine," I huffed.

"Okay, then what's wrong?"

"I don't want to be a hover parent. I just, I don't know," I breathed.

"You're not a hover parent, you just care a lot for Noah. We'll be fine," Joe smiled as he kissed the back of my neck.

Noah had stopped feeding and had fallen asleep, so I went and laid him in his bassinet before going into the kitchen and grabbing two bottles of beer.

"Here," I said, handing one to Joe.

"Should you be drinking?" He questioned.

"I can. As long as I don't feed Noah for a few hours," I shrugged.

"Okay," Joe nodded.

I opened the bottle and downed a bit of it. I've forgotten the yummy taste of alcohol since being pregnant.

"Slow down there baby," Joe laughed lightly.

"I know," I giggled.

"I enjoyed tonight," Joe smirked.

"Eh, it was alright. I don't like arguing with you," I shook my head.

"It turns me on when you're yelling," Joe smirked again.
