A Fresh Start (Chapter 2)

*Present Day*

Charlie's POV

Dear Diary,

I have just moved back to Mystic Falls after some tragic news, Elena's aunt Jenna was used in one of Niklaus's (Klaus's) stupid rituals but this time he broke his hybrid curse. No one knows who I am except Elena, Jeremy and Damon. The only people who know what I am is Damon Salvatore. All I wanted to do was move back, avoid Niklaus, due to a bad background story, be a good aunt to Elena and Jeremy, and start afresh.

I knock on the door of my neices house and guess who didn't answer the door, Elena or Jeremy.

The guy who answered the door said his name was Rick and that he was Jenna's boyfriend and Elena and Jeremy's guardian until I showed up. He called for Elena and Elena instantly appeared and ran up and hugged me. Once Elena showed me my room and I got settled in, she said that I had to come to her boyfriends house so herself, her boyfriend Stefan and his brother Damon could explain about what had happend since I was last here.

Once at the Salvatore Boarding House she got me to sit down until she found her boyfriend to explain then I said "I know" and she said "Know what?" I said "I know Stefan, Damon and Caroline are vampires, Bonnie is a witch, Rick is a former vampire hunter and Elijah and Klaus are original vampires. She just said "How?" Then Damon said "She hasn't been completely honest about what she is," and I said "No I haven't because I was just trying to protect you like I should being your aunt." Elena said "I want to know what you are aunt Charlie," at the same time Damon just laughed and stated "Elena, she is really your great, great, great, great, multiple great, aunt." She just said "What are you?" and I said "I don't want to scare you but I am over 200,000 years old.
