Feralkit heard yowls excitement from the apprentices den all the way from the nursery.
Falconpaw let out a purr of excitement. "It's almost time!" Fallenpaw meowed. Duskstar leaped up. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey in groups, join beneath for a Clan meeting!" Duskstar declared.
The apprentices and warriors gathered around.
Feralkit started to go until Goldensparrow pulled him back. "You're not old enough young kit. Go to your mother." She mewed.
I am too old enough! "But-" He began but was cut off when Jadepelt lifted him by the scruff.
"Awww, but mama.." The young kit whined.
She licked his head. "Hush now Feralkit.." His mother mewed sweetly. His small fur puffed out. "Okay mama.."
"Today, Bluepaw, Fallenpaw, Falconpaw and Sootpaw will become warriors, to protect and provide food for there Clanmates." Duskstar meowed.
The Clan cats cheered their praises.
"I, Duskstar of WolfClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in return." the leader meowed gazing down at them.
"Fallenpaw, Bluepaw, Falconpaw and Sootpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect the Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"Yes!" They all replied. Feralkit stared intensely. 'I wish I were a warrior.'
"Bluepaw from this moment on you shall be known as Bluejay." he meowed resting his muzzle on her head.
"Fallenpaw," he meowed turning to the apprentice. "You shall be known as Fallentooth." he did the same, resting his muzzle on the new warriors head.
"Fallentooth! Fallentooth! Fallentooth!" The WolfClan warriors cheered.
Duskstar then turned to Falconpaw. "Falconpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Falconwing." he meowed resting his muzzle on his head. Duskstar waited for the cheering to die down before he looked at Sootpaw. "Sootpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Sootfur." Duskstar meowed with a smile he stepped back. Feralkit's eyes sparked with interest. "They're great warriors.."
Jadepelt licked her son's head. "You will be too someday.."
Feralkit stared at the newly made warriors in awe. That would be him someday.
The Clan chanted the new warrior names before the went up to congratulate them.
