Warriors Super Edition:Feralstorm's Omen

Chapter 22

"Hey, Sootpelt hasn't come back yet," Darkshadow meowed. "And it's almost Moonhigh."
Onefang looked at the brown and black stripped warrior, "Would you quit your whining?"
Darkshadow held back a growl. "He's probably still running around wanting to pick a fight like a kit," the amber eyed deputy snorted. "Typical."
"Just what exactly are you saying?" Fallentooth snarled. "I'm saying, that if Sootpelt needed to practice his patience and control his temper, we wouldn't be waiting here." Onefang replied. The hazel eyed and red/brown tom curled his lips into a snarl. "I'll look for him." Feralstorm offered. Darkshadow followed him. Hawkleaf stayed with Falconwing.
The two toms looked around. Feralstorm caught a scent. It was strong. He walked to where it was and looked down with a gasp."Ahhh!!"
Darkshadow heard."Feralstorm!" The leaf green eyed tom hurried to his side."What did you-" he asked but then looked down."Sootpelt..."
Onefang and other two cats arrived. "What is with all the screamin-".They all saw the now deceased warrior. "I told you one of us should've gone after him!" Fallentooth shrieked at Onefang. The amber eyed deputy just stared coldly in shock. "Fallentooth please, calm down.." Hawkleaf soothed. "Calm down?! You want me to calm down?! First our parents are gone and now my brother, and you want me to calm down?!" the tom cried. Feralstorm looked beside him to see a saddened Darkshadow. The others were silent. "Lets just bring him back to camp and inform Duskstar.." Falconwing mewed. Hawkleaf and Darkshadow hauled the dead tom along their backs.
They arrived back to camp. "Their back!" Heatherstorm meowed to her clanmates but she stared at their faces."Wha-" the warrior then noticed the body on their backs. Bluejay walked up to them."What is it-"
Hawkleaf dropped the body."Sootpelt!" Bluejay wailed. All of the cats turned and gathered."Sootpelt!"
"Oh no! Sootpelt" The cats all chattered amongst each other. Duskstar walked up to everyone. "What is going on?"
"It's Sootpelt," Mothshine mewed."He's..."
The WolfClan leader blinked."Wh-what?"
Fallentooth couldn't stop staring at the fresh blood from part of his neck to his chest."Something killed him--no, somecat killed him. And I will find out..." he meowed. "Fallentoo-" Feralstorm started but the tom glared at him. There's grief in his eyes...I can see it..
The red/brown warrior walked away. Darkshadow placed a paw forward, wanting to follow him, but Onefang stopped him. "Let him go."
"He needs time to grieve," Feralstorm added. The two toms stared in shock by his words. "If there's anything most of you have taught me, it's that life is hard. StarClan holds their spirits as much as we do."
"He's right..." Duskstar mewed. "We will hold a vigil for him at Moonhigh."
The cats all nodded."Poor Fallentooth.." Lillytail whimpered. "Sootpelt was Darkshadow's mentor.." Lightspot mewed.

Moonhigh had set in. Fallentooth lowered himself on his belly by his brother's dead body, who was in the center of camp. As did Liontail, his mentor who lowered her head. The charcoal black clan leader sat down and lowered his head, as his warriors waited in silence for his words. "Sootpelt was a brave warrior. His loyalty to WolfClan could be proven through his skills to which he learned from Liontail. We always relied on his fighting, for it bore witness to the needs of the Clan, and was never swayed by self-interest or pride. He was made a fine warrior of WolfClan." Fallentooth blinked through tears. "Sootpelt...I'm so sorry. I promise I'll find the thing that killed you and avenge you..for WolfClan."
"Don't blame yourself. Sootpelt maybe wouldn't want you to-" Bluejay mewed. "How do you know what he would want?! You don't understand!! None of you understan-" Fallentooth wailed but Duskstar cut him off."That is enough! We are at a vigil and underneath StarClan. Show respect Fallentooth." The tom sighed and nodded. Feralstorm blinked as he glared at his sister for a moment, who was sitting next to him. "The elders will burry our fallen warrior at sunrise"Duskstar meowed, directing his attention to Mothshine, Crescentwing, and Raventher. The three cats dipped their heads in a response. Feralstorm glared at Fallentooth then to Liontail. "How long do you think the both will sit with him?"
"My question goes to who will sit with Sootpelt the longest," Jadepelt replied to her son.
"I feel bad for the both of them." Heatherstorm stared on. "My guess is Fallentooth since their brothers."
They all stared up at the sky. A star shone bright. "Sootpelt.." Fallentooth mewed. One of WolfClan's warriors left to join StarClan.
