It had been a moon since the forest was in flames and the two clans had come together. Duskstar was currently on his 7th life."I must lead my clan"he rasped. The charcoal black tom gave a cough or two."Ugh,I don't feel good."
"You may be ill, but that's no excuse to behave as if you're a kit. Of course you'll be better soon. You survived the battle of AshClan. You can survive a bit of smoke in your lungs. Besides, you're our leader now, don't forget. You have duties to fulfill." Mothshine meowed as she guided him to the elder's den. Duskstar gave her a rather con fused look."I'm only saying the clan thinks it would be best if you join the elders now, where you can rest and be proud. Proud of the fact that you led this clan and that you have led it well."
The WolfClan leader nodded. The ViperClan elders gave odd looks."Here's a nest right here." Clearcloud meowed.
"Thank you--"Duskstar thanked, wanting to know her name."Clearcloud." The white pelted she-cat answered.
"Thank you Clearcloud."
The tom curled in a ball in the nest made of ferns and dried berries for a scent. "This nest feels nice." the emerald green eyes tom complimented.
Tigerclaw and Hollyflight walked to ViperClan's medicine cats, Addlerclaw and Willowpelt. The tan she-cat rolled her eyes."If we're going to be working together as medicine cats," Addlerclaw mewed. "We have to be--tolerable towards one another."
Hollyflight and Willowpelt stared at each other.
"Alright." Hollyflight meowed.
"Okay." Willowpelt muttered.Addlerclaw gave a dip of the head.
Birchstar was talking to Duskstar in the leader's den."We only have 2 apprentices just now, the season of Newleaf is near, and we have no kits. It is now that we need our warriors to start training young cats." the WolfClan leader meowed."You are right friend. If we are going to get through this, we have to get along with one another."
"Let us hope StarClan will guide us through this storm." Duskstar meowed.
