Chapter 12
I was tired of losing people that I love so much. They have taken so much from me and I was tired of suffering. I wanted everyone to feel the pain that I was feeling, to suffer like I was. I removed the ring my parents gave me which gave me full access to all my power. With a sensation akin to being consumed by a storm of raw energy, I felt himself lifted from the ground, my body levitating in the air as my power took hold of me. My senses were overwhelmed, and my mind clouded by a relentless storm of magic that threatened to consume him whole.
In my blinded fury, I could no longer distinguish friend from foe. All I could see was the pain, the anguish, the loss that had been inflicted upon me. Without uttering a single incantation, I started to unleash a barrage of spells—fireballs, water balls, electric bolts, and more—each one fueled by the unfathomable depths of my rage. The air crackled with the intensity of my power, the ground beneath me trembling with each devastating blast. The once tranquil room became a battlefield, the walls crumbling under the force of my unbridled magic. Those unfortunate enough to stand in my path were swept aside like leaves in a hurricane. I couldn't hear their cries of pain which was lost amidst the chaos. And so, lost in my grief and consumed by my power, I became a force of nature—a whirlwind of destruction that left devastation. My heart's broken cries echoing into the void as I unleashed my wrath upon the world.
As I continued my attack, I heard someone called my name but I did not know where it comes from. A few second letter, I felt a gentle touch on my feet which drew my attention downward. Through the haze of my uncontrollable power, I saw Sun, kneeling before me. Relief washed over me as I realized that Sun was unharmed, merely stunned. Tears of gratitude welled in my eyes as I reached down to pull Sun into my arms. In that moment, amidst the wreckage of their surroundings, I found solace in his arm.
Sun's voice, soft and soothing, broke through the turmoil in my mind, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the wreckage. "Is there anything we can do to help them?" he asked, his eyes filled with compassion and understanding. I looked around and saw all the people that I hurt. With a deep breath, I centered himself, drawing upon the wellspring of magic that still surged within me. I said the spell,
Ex terra et caelo, sanatio volat,
In naturae complexu, vulnera recusat.
Lotus florescat, cura et levat,
Restaura cum gratia, ut volo
I conjured a powerful healing spell, encircling the people hurt in the chaos with strands of light and energy. Gradually, they were enveloped in dazzling lotus petals, which opened to comfort the wounded people inside. Within the cocoon of light, the regenerative power of the healing magic knitted shattered bones together, soothed burns, and eased the suffering of those who had endured. The lotus blossoms soon blossomed, their petals spreading in a stunning show of color and light, as if by some invisible order. They let out a soft sigh and burst into a shower of petals that flew off into the wind like confetti. As the last of the lotus petals drifted away on the breeze, a sense of peace settled over the room, the air alive with the whisper of newfound hope.
As the spell continued to work, I just continued to hold Sun. I didn't want to let him go because I didn't want to lose him ago. I cant lose him ago. I was ready to fight the world if it that was what I needed to do to keep him.
I don't know how long I was on the floor with Sun but all of a sudden an announcement popped into the tv from the mayor.
" My Fellow Citizens,
Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart, for it has come to my attention that within our beloved magical community, there are those among us who have been treated unjustly. It saddens me to learn that some of our own have suffered oppression and discrimination simply because they are different.
