Raising a Demon

Hey everyone!

It's been so long! I am so sorry for the really long wait.

SO big news, I am unfortunately discontinuing this story.

Originally, I had chapter 15 almost ready to be published but a lot of things got in the way of my writing.

Short Life Update - I graduated high school, Class of 2024, and had started college. I got my first tattoo. I just finished my first semester, and let me just say; it was hard to go from a straight-A student to an "as long as I am passing" student.

Now getting back to my writing, I realized that I lost track of where my story was originally going. I forgot a lot of important key details that I wanted to include, whereas my notes are so random and sporadic that I can't even remember where they were supposed to be included. Also, I have to say that I feel like my old writing style was a littleimmature and messy.

After a lot of reconsideration, I decided to rewrite the whole story.

- Somethings to know about the new version -

 I decided it didn't make sense to have Percy as a CEO, especially since it doesn't tie to the plot anymore. I'm also scrapping the idea of aging up/down the DC characters. Instead, I will adjust Percy's age to make his relationship with Bruce more reasonable.

Also, I have decided to keep Ambrose in the story and not as a dead father figure to Percy. Instead, he will be an active character in Percy's life and will help him settle in the mortal world outside his demigod life. I will also keep the Annab!tch trope but try to make her more stuck-up and self-centered as she grows older. I am unsure about the whole stalker situation, but there will be an update on that part soon.

So within the next few days, I will be publishing the first three rewritten chapters soon. The new rewrite will be now called, "Raising the Demon Spawn" instead of "Raising a Demon." I caught some heat from the conservative side of my family who did not understand the meaning behind the use of Damian's nickname. Thankfully my mom did.

And since a lot of you enjoyed this version, I will keep the original up on my profile. I don't know if I will ever find a way to complete it fully, but I will decide on that in the future.

I'm sorry for this, truly. I really wanted to keep this going, but my creative flow went elsewhere.

Here is the cover of the new version. I DO NOT OWN THE ORIGINAL PHOTO. I added the grey streak and the green eyes myself to make it look like Percy, which was a pain in the ass to do on my phone.
