"Alright, I need more officers to start a search grid. I want every footage from every building in the area that has cameras." Detective Karadec said to the officers.
"Thanks Athena. I'll keep you updated" Detective Bradford said, looking back at the car before ending the call and walking to stand next to Karadec.
"We have some prints off the side door, hopefully that gives us an ID" Karadec said to Will after speaking to the Crime scene unit.
"Good, I've sent a patrol unit to Violet's place. We need to speak to her assistant and find out what she was-" Will started to say before being Interrupted.
"WILL!, WHERE IS SHE"
The detectives turned around to find Tim marching towards the pair after getting out of his truck, ducking under the police tape and try to walk around them to the car.
"Tim, wait a minute!" Will stood in front of his older brother, stopping him from getting closer to the car.
"What the hell happened. Where's Violet!" Tim said, becoming more panicked.
Never before has Will seen his brother become so panicked before.
"We don't know but-"
"What do you mean you don't know, do you even know if it's her?"
"TIM! 4.15 This morning a 911 call came in from the woman who lives in that upstairs apartment above the shop. She heard a collision and when she looked out her window she saw the BMW and another car driving off at high speed in that direction. One male in his 40s, the driver, was pulled out by LAFD and taken to hospital. We got CCTV from the shops camera that shows three masked men breaking the back window and pulling a woman out before putting her in the trunk of their car and driving off"
Will stop to let the information sink in before starting again.
"When I got here, I recognised the driver. We found luggage in the car with a laptop." Will said before waving over the officer who had the laptop to come over.
"It's Violet's Tim. We found her ID in the car as well. Still looking for her phone but hopefully she still has it and we can track it"
Tim looked away from the car to the laptop screen that had Violet's name in the login for Rose's Enterprises.
"She's still meant to be in New York until Wednesday," Tim said in shock.
"So you didn't know she was coming home?" Karadec asked.
"No. If she was taken I need to get the boys and Lela -"
"We already have units going to the house and I called Athena. She's the closest and someone Lela trusts. Until we know what's going on, we're taking them back to the station"
"Ok - wait. Only one laptop was found?" Tim asked them, making the two detectives look at each other, then at Tim. Confused.
"Ya, only one. Why?" Karadec asked.
"She always travels with two. Her business one, and her government issued one." Tim expand.
"And we have the business one," Will said turning to look at his partner.
"Karadec! Bradford! Update" The three turned around to see Lieutenant Soto walking towards them.
"Lieutenant, 4.15 this morning 911 caller heard a collision and saw a car driving away from the scene at high speeds. LAFD were able to get the driver of the BMW out, he's on his way to hospital. We have officers with them." Karadec started to explain before Will continued.
"Footage from the stores CCTV show three masked men getting out of the other vehicle and breaking the back window and pulling a woman out before putting her in the trunk of their car and driving off"
"Do we have an ID on the woman they took?" Lieutenant Soto asked her detectives while looking towards the officer she was unfamiliar with.
"25 year old Violet Rose," Will said while looking at his brother.
"Violet Rose, why does that name sound familiar"
"She's a criminal and technical analyst for the LAPD and works for other law enforcement based out of Mid-Wilshire. She's also the owner of Rose's Enterprises." Tim said.
"And you are?"
"My older brother, Officer Tim Bradford from Mid-Wilshire. Him and Violet are... close. I called him when we found Violet's laptop. I knew he would have more information for us." Will said, looking between his brother and his Lieutenant.
"Well if she worked for other law enforcement agencies this just became a multi agency case." Lieutenant Soto said.
"I've got units going to Violet's place now and Sergeant Grant. Until we know what's going on, we need to keep her two kids and Lela in protective custody." Will said.
"Call them and tell them to go to Mid-Wilshire instead of the station. Can you call your caption and give her an update."
"Why Mid-Wilshire?" Karadec asked
"They have more room to house multi agencies and I have a feeling that when one of their own is missing they are going to want in. If we let them or not" Lieutenant Soto said while turning to face Officer Bradford towards the end.
"She's right. I'll call my caption and give her an update. I'll send you Mel's number now"
"Thanks, I see you at the station," Will told his brother.
Tim looked back up from his phone after sending Will Mel's number. He was looking past his brother to the BMW in anger.
"Tim, we'll find her"
"I know, I'll meet you guys at the station." Tim said before walking back to his truck.
The two detectives and their lieutenant watch as he leaves.
"When you say they are close.. How close" Soto asked Will
"Well, they have been 'secretly' in love with each other for years and are both too stubborn to acknowledge it. I mean, Alex and Ben call him dada half the time."
"How old are her sons?" Soto asked
"They turned four last week. Their birthday party was at the zoo. Now that I think of it. Violet had a lot more security than normal"
"Define normal" Karadec asked
"Two I think, maybe more if she is going to events but she had close to 15"
"That's a big jump."
"We need to know what security company she was using. I'll call the FBI and give them an update." Soto told them.
"Alright, I'll go to Mid-Wilshire and talk to Lela and see if she can tell us anything and start looking into the cases Violet was working on. " Will said
"I'll talk to her assistant and see if she knows why Miss Rose came home early from New York, try to find out how she got here and why the up in security"
"Alright, from the look of that vehicle she is going to be injured so we need to work fast, let's get to work" Soto said before the three walked off in different directions.

The last thing Violet could remember was being in the car on her way home.
She just wanted to get home to her babies after being away for over a week. She would video call them every morning and night but it wasn't the same.
She didn't see the other car come towards them or hear what her driver said before everything want black.
Now, all she could feel was shooting pain everywhere, paralysing pain and her hands hanging above her head. But she couldn't fully open her eyes.
She could hear faint voices but couldn't make out what they were saying.
The last thing she heard before losing consciousness again was a cry. A cry that she thought couldn't be real.
Because it sounded like a baby's cry.
