Friday 7.10am, Violet's House - Violet's POV

"It was only a temporary role, I was going to stand down once Susan came back" I explained to Lela while washing the dishes from breakfast.

"I suppose so," Lela said while drying what I had already washed.

"I thought you would be happy about this?" I said, turning my head to look at her.

"I am, but you worked so hard to get that Analyst team and I thought you would be leading it." she said while drying her hands.

"I miss profiling, and having Susan and Nell looking over the Analyst team gives me the opportunity to do more of that. I'll also be going back to working three days a week. I can work more on the company and spend more time with the boys and you. Plus with the house being renovated and us having to move out for at least three months, I'll feel better if I was around to oversee everything." I said following her in drying my hands as well.

"I suppose that's true. I'm still driving you to work right?" Lela asked, walking around the kitchen.

"Yes please, depending on the outcome of today for the rookies. We're going to celebrate with drinks" I say, walking towards the hallway where the bedrooms were located.

"Boys, move along please. We have places to be" I say down the hallway before turning back towards Lela.

"You sure you'll be ok with the boys tonight? I don't know what time we'll be home" I asked, getting all my bags ready.

"Of course I am. We are going to have so much fun. Luna and Athena are coming over as well. Apparently, I have much to catch up on. Athena has found a guy, did you know this!" Lela asked, clapping her hands in excitement.

"I was not, but it does explain why she has been so... smiley" I say turning around to talk to her, seeing Alex and Ben walk into the room.

"Look at my handsome boys" I say while kneeling as they walk towards me, dressed and ready to go.

"Mummy," Ben said, while walking into my open arms for a hug. Alex joined a few seconds later.
"Are my babies ready for school?" I ask them.

"I don't want to go mummy" Ben said, before I could ask why Alex continued.

"Stay with Granny"

"But what about Max? You were all so excited for the new playground" I say pulling back a little to look at their faces.

It took a few seconds for them to realise what I said, but when they did their faces lit up and they started to jump in excitement at the idea of the new playground. Nearly knocking me over in the process.

"Lets go, lets go" They said while running to the front door. Forgetting all about wanting to stay with lela today.

Looking over at Lela confused at the sudden change. I see her with her phone out and I wouldn't be surprised if she recorded what just happened.

Standing back up, I walk around the kitchen to get their lunches.

"You both need your bags first" I tell them. I hear them running back from the front door and down towards their room.

"No running" Lela and I both tell them.

"Sorry mummy, sorry Granny" They yell back to us.

"100 shifts" Andersen said to the three rookies standing in front of her, with Grey standing beside her.
