Cal had said goodbye to Onyx and the rest of her friends before leaving without saying goodbye to Indra. She seems like the person who needs to blow off steam and that's what she's giving her. Time.

Before Cal left, she grabbed a wire no one was using so she could train. For what? She has no idea but it's the best time when she won't be able to sleep. She shoved it in her arrow bag carefully so as to not break it or the arrows or puncture the bag. Lincoln had given her Grounder clothes, as to blend in with the woods around them. He had also given her a spear, but she didn't have the heart to tell him she doesn't know how to use it.

That was until Lincoln told her to throw hers at a deer. It missed completely and the deer ran. Lincoln looks over to her, a disappointed look on his face. "Sorry." She whispers before Lincoln races off and shoots it in the stomach, making it fall to the ground lifeless. Lincoln jumps out from the trees followed by Bellamy and Cal.

Lincoln takes the spear out and twists it around, sticking it in the ground beside him. He kneels down, grabbing a knife and cutting the deer open. Lincoln sets the knife to the side and reaches in the deer, his hands coming back out stained with blood, and he wipes it across his chin and neck.

Bellamy leans down beside him as Cal keeps watch. "Okay," Bellamy says. "So we make it to the intake door without any of the real Reapers seeing us. What happens then?"

"We kill everyone, and you slip inside." Lincoln replies, referencing Cal and him, all the while putting blood on his clothes. "Limestone." Bellamy reaches into his pocket and pulls out a bag. Lincoln spreads the white powder, limestone, across his face like a real Reaper. "Let's go." They stand up and Cal looks around one final time. "We have a lot of ground to cover before dark."

Cal is walking ahead of the other two as they continue walking and they're silent for a while before Bellamy speaks up. "Hey, I need to know what happened after the intake door."

"They remove your clothes." Lincoln answers and Cal holds back a shiver. She guesses that's what happened to her clothes. Good thing she still can't find her jacket. "Blast you with boiling water, then douse you with something that burns even worse. And then we were sorted. The others were tagged 'harvest', I was tagged 'cerberus', turned into a Reaper."

"Cerberus. Three-headed dog that guards the underworld."

Cal chuckles. "Only you and O would know that, Bel." Cal says, only glancing back for a second. She sees Lincoln look at him confused while Bellamy smiles at her before noticing Lincoln's look. "My mom read mythology to us all the time. Octavia loved it. You're good for her." He says with a softer voice. "You made her strong."

"She was already strong." Cal and Lincoln reply at the same time but Cal doesn't look back.

"Hey, I need to ask you something." Cal hears their feet stop moving and turns around to look. "You protected my sister before you even knew her. Why?"

Lincoln walks closer, stopping in front of him. "When I was a boy...I saw a ship fall from the sky. Like Raven's. The man inside was hurt, his body broken. I couldn't get him out."

"Suicide by Earth." Bellamy states. "I heard the stories in the guard, I just didn't know they were true."

"That was an actual thing?" Cal asks. "Talk about floating when people they died on Earth and couldn't move."

"I brought him food, water. I didn't speak the enemy's language yet. So, I couldn;t understand him, but I wanted to. So, on the third day, I told my father." He pauses and Cal's face turns to worry. "He made me kill him. The world's been trying to turn me into a monster for as long as I can remember. Let's keep moving."
