Millions of cages decorate the walls of this room. Millions of cages hang from the ceiling, the walls, the floor, with a Grounder in each one of them. Grounders groan from pain, wanting to be let out, but Cal can't do anything. She doesn't have a key, she doesn't know how to get them all out and even if she did figure all that out, her friends would be in danger of ending up just like them, drained of blood like vampires.
Oh my God. They're like vampires. They drain people's blood and inject it into themselves. It's not drinking them dry, but they're still like vampires. How cruel. How could someone do this to people? Living, breathing, people. It's not right. Even if they are Grounders, enemies, murderers, they don't deserve this. No one does. Not even a rapist.
Well, maybe, it depends how bad they are. Personally, Cal wouldn't be too upset if a certain someone up and died or disappeared, but still. Grounders don't deserve this, they're just trying to survive. "I'm gonna get you out of here." Clarke says and runs back to the front of the room.
As she leaves, Cal glares at the Grounder. "Yu don trana gon frag op yumi. Chon's biyo oso na't jos ban op yu hir."
You tried to kill us. Who's to say we can't just leave you here?
"Ai na nou don blame yu." The Grounder leader replies, hand still resting through the fence. "Ai would ban op yu hir tain ai don choice."
I wouldn't blame you. I would leave you here if I had the choice.
"Ai point still stands."
My point still stands.
"Gada wouldn't ban op ai."
The girl wouldn't leave me.
Cal raises her eyebrows at her response. Cal looks over to her sister pulling out a pipe. "Yu nou deserve disha, oso'll get yu kom hir."
You don't deserve this, we'll get you out of here.
Clarke comes back with a pipe and tries prying the lock open with it. "Oh, damn it." The blonde says when it doesn't work. She keeps trying and then it finally opens. "Okay, come on. Quick." Clarke grabs hold of Anya's hands, helping her out of the small cage. "You're okay."
The door squeaks open and Cal's eyes widen as Tsing walks in. She pushes her sister and the Grounder in the cage, then races around the corner of the cages, hiding behind it. She can vaguely make out the doctor walking to a fridge or storage place and taking something out. A Grounder shakes the cage which draws Tsing's attention away from the thing in her hand to the cages filled with Grounder men and women and children.
She walks between the cages, looking for something and stops right in front of Anya and Clarke. Luckily, she must not notice them as she starts backing up, but hands reach out to try to grab her and she gasps, scared. She walks back to the door and scans her keycard before walking out.
Cal breathes a sigh of relief once she's finally gone and walks out and to the two women coming out of the cage. Clarke helps Anya walk to a door, opening it, then stops before walking in staring at the girl hanging back. "Are you coming?" Clarke asks her, wide eyed, hoping she says yes.
Cal shakes her head. "My best friends are in here; I have to protect them. My friends, my responsibility. Find Octavia for me, tell her I love her, and we'll meet again."
Clarke nods, but stops before walking in. "Are you sure you'll be okay?"
Cal nods. "I'm sure. May we meet again."
"May we meet again." Clarke replies before walking in through the door and Cal shutting it behind her. Cal turns around and looks around for a weapon, any at all. She walks to the closest cage and spots a girl in there.
