CHAPTER 11

After the incident in Paris, Karina took a month off from modelling and interacting on social media. While recovering from the trauma and anxiety caused by her co-model/fake boyfriend, she attended to her mother's needs.

Afterall, it was only the both of them who had each other's back. Some of her friends offered to help her through the recovery and she did not refuse them. Whenever she felt down, she would go and have some private time with her closest friends.

Now, Karina decided to go back to the spotlight. She feels like she is ready to face the world again. Bae Eun Woo on one hand was still in prison repenting his sins.

She just found out that it was not the first time that Eun Woo was accused of sexual assault and blackmailing. Some were not granted as they don't have the urge or the strength to fight against a known personality.

She feels sorry for those innocent girls who have been through hell with the model.

Karina took a deep sigh before entering her car.

"You'll be fine Karina! You can do this." She turned her car on while motivating herself.

While driving, a sudden thought of the guy who helped her throughout the incident in Paris.

How was he doing now? Is he fine?

It's been months since she last saw him. She never heard of him after what happened in Paris.

Did he go back to Seoul?

"Why am I thinking about him?" Karina murmured.

While on the way to her modelling agency, she received a call. She immediately tapped the car's monitor connecting to her phone.

Hello?

The other line was quiet for a moment. And when she asked again, someone answered.

Hey, it's Jeno.

Karina suddenly stopped breathing. Her heart thumps so loudly that it almost tears her chest open.

Her hands started sweating but she tried to calm herself down. She's still driving so she needs to prioritize her safety first. She moved to the side of the road to stop for a while.

Hello? Are you still there?

Karina tone herself down before answering back.

H-hey. What's up?

She doesn't understand why she is rattling.

Uhm, are you by any chance free later before lunch?

She grabs her iPad to check on her schedules and fortunately, she is indeed free.

Actually she doesn't need to check on her schedules as it was not jam packed yet. She will be starting over again so there is not much on her schedule.

Yeah, I'm free. Why?

She heard a rustling noise on the other line.

Meet me at our house. Mom will be cooking lunch.

Karina felt a sudden excitement that she couldn't contain herself from squealing.

Really? Oh my god, when did you guys go back?

After asking, Karina realized that she was so thrilled that she almost forgot how awkward their situation was after everything that had happened.

Oh, I'm sorry. I got excited.

She added.

No worries. You can get your answer later. I have to go.

She would lie if she didn't admit that she was disappointed.
