i had been pushing my album release date further and further back, but today is the day, and after that, it is my hiatus. i've been working hard for 20+ years, i deserve a break, and besides, im slowly, but surely building my little family, and in order to do that, i have to be all the way present.

also, today, there were different artists from all over the world coming to my release party along with my friends and even a few of my idols. people i looked up to as a child. its gonna be amazing.

"do you think i should announce the hiatus?" i asked taraji whilst popping grapes in my mouth.

"is anything gonna change if you do?"

"well, no, but i dont think announcing my leave would be necessary. you know?"

"with the album dropping and all i feel at first, their focus will be on that for the time being, but eventually theyre gonna go searching for you, wondering where you disappeared to after dropping that music"

"how about i leave a hint in the album, and once i return back, ill point it out if they haven't. maybe giveaway cash to those who got it."

"whats the hint gonna be?"

"i dont know, but its gonna have hiatus in there somewhere. on the vinyls and cd's as well."

"mmm, so, what's your plans after?" she came around the island and wrapped her arms around me.

"you and laila are my plans. im taking  this time off to bond with you two and grow our family. i have tons of plans. anywho, enough of that, how are you feeling?"

"eh ill be straight."

"you will be, but i mean as in now"

"im good now. do i seem off a little?"

"not on the outside. i know you've been getting up in the middle of the night checking on laila for the past few weeks. you haven't been resting as much."

"i just wanna make sure she's okay. thats all. same as last month, her words are still stuck in the back of my head."

she started to fiddle with her fingers. i got the message and just pulled her into me, giving her a long, warm hug and a few kisses. her hold on me was tight. that told me everything– she needed this

"im okay. should we be leaving now?"

"aw yes. the time." i checked the time, seeing that it was almost 6. our makeup was scheduled to get done at 6:30.

by the time our makeup was finished, we had to go and change. it was getting closer and closer to the time when we had to go. i didn't wanna be late to my own release party.

after i finished getting dressed, i asked them to take me to where taraji and laila were. when i saw her, my mouth hit the floor. she barely likes to show skin in public, but she looks stunning. i think she should show more skin often.

"you! oh, you look so beautiful."

"thank you. you are breathtaking, and this outfit is taking it."

"thank you" we shared a kiss, "how do you like the teeth?" i flexed my bottom gems.

"i love love love these on you."

"thank you, baby." i turned my attention to laila, "hey, you look pretty, mama."

"thank you."

"you're welcome. are you guys ready?"

"yes"
