The left index finger of Midoriya slowly tapped against the surface of the cafeteria table in a constant rhythm, his eyes continuously scanning the large open space with the other hand clasped over his mouth. The cafeteria was partially occupied by citizens spread out amongst the tables, a few fighters such as Tetsutetsu and Kendo sprinkled amongst the numbers enjoying their free time. But on this occasion, Midoriya was not here to lull about so freely. No, he was here for a more concerning matter, one that revolved around the handgun case that sat closed on the table before him with a very important component that was unfortunately missing. He knew this moment was to come sooner or later and now that it was here, his body felt heavy like lead and there was always a thin lather of sweat coating his palm. The only thing he could do in this very moment-

Was wait.
With the same finger he used to tap the table he double tapped over his nearby phone to illuminate the screen, reading the time and withdrawing the hand to rest over his leg. It was just about that time for the break shift to occur for the guard towers meaning, it should be within the next minutes that one guard in particular waltzes in here for her break. Honestly? There's really no other way to get this over with than to just simply come clean on what happened and why it happened. Knowing this individual they don't take excuses for anything, especially given the amount of times they went through on specialized handling to ensure this VERY thing didn't happen. And yet, here he was, waiting for the moment when he must admit that the very thing that shouldn't have happened, DID happen. Was it really his fault? There was a mob of undead coming straight towards him in the very moment he went to swap the item with a fresh one, then again it's not like he was under colossal pressure in that moment either sooooo....probably just best to accept what is to come.
Through an entrance of large double doors leading into the cafeteria Midoriya's eyes darted towards it and found Lady Nagant stepping into the area, her eyes scanning over everybody until they locked with his. Her path was set and she made her approach in his direction, the young man sitting upright and exhaling out the awkward nerves. Taking a quick peek behind him he checked the item that was secretly pinned between his body and the backrest of his seat before facing frontwards to meet the woman who was just barely arriving. "And you've been where exactly?"
"Sorry for not getting to this sooner Tsutsumi." Midoriya apologized as Nagant sat down across from him. "Ever since I got back from my mission I've been erm...busy, to say the least. Occupied."
"Occupied as in, running across the open field like a mad man off heroine going to who knows where?"
"O-Of the sorts heh, stuff like that happens and I don't really have much of an option but to handle it directly. I wasn't trying to shy away from you or anything I promise, I was just busy."
"Mm, if you say so. So how did your mission go?"
"Smooth, honestly. We went in, took note of what was in there and what kind of presence were in the buildings and before we knew it Ryukyu and I were on our way back to Outpost Beta without a scratch. A Hellraiser nearly snuck up on me though but thankfully Ryukyu managed to call it out in time."
"The fact you required somebody to call out a Hellraiser for you leads me to the assumption it stunk like something rancid in there." Nagant gagged. "And that's not the kind of smell I wanna think about on my lunch break. Anyways let's get to this weapons check it's been several days past due, open the case."
