Flashback

*2 hours before Jessica's death*

Chris POV
I was at home at the time the weather was rainy and dull but I kind of liked it. There was something about the rain that used to relax and bring me to sleep it's a nice feeling.

I was broke out of my thoughts as their was frantic knocking. Getting up out of my seat I walked over to answer the door. As I opened the door I looked to see a girl standing at the door soaking wet shivering. Her long black hair clung to her face and she gripped onto her leather jacket trying to warm up.

Jessica.....
"I-I-is Kuza I-in?" She asked as her teeth chattered.
"No he's not I haven't seen him in months" I replied.
"Well it's a-actually y-you I've came to s-see" she replied.
I was a little surprised that she came to see me. She was Kuza's first love the first person he felt he could trust and the one he kept secret from me for a while.
I moved myself away from the door allowing her to step inside and quickly she did still gripping onto her wet form.

"You cold?" I asked
She nodded her head in response "y-yeah a little" she replied rubbing her arms trying to warm herself up. I grabbed one of my trench coats from the coat hanger wrapping it around her small frame.

She gripped onto the coat tighter to keep herself warm.
"Thanks"
"So why have you come to see me?" I asked.
"It's because I need your help!" She spoke with worry in her voice.
"I need you to help me get my brother out of town...it's Kuza I think he see's Ricky as a threat...you see my brother is a vampire but it's hidden he doesn't know about it...once he find his mate he will go into full transition" she continued to explain.

"So he's a sub?" I asked.
"Yeah....I think he's planning on killing him...I've seen what he is capable of and the things he has done to protect me....you know what he's like Chris you know how dangerous he is I need to you help me" she said.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"I need you to promise me...promise me you'll protect him" she replied.

"What do you mean protect him?"
"Tonight I plan on driving out of town with him, if Kuza finds out he'll kill me and I think tonight there is a high chance that he will so what happens I need you to promise me that you'll watch over him of something anything to make sure Kuza doesn't go near him!" She begged.

"Ok..I promise" I responded
"You're a good person Chris" she whispered before leaning forward to kiss me on the lips which surprised me and caught me off guard. Quickly she pulled away "I'm sorry I don't know what came over me" she apologised.

"It's fine people do different things when their stressed about something"

I was in the woods at the time of her death and that's when I heard her.

"RICKY RUN! DO YOU HEAR ME?! FUCKING RUN!" She screamed at the top of her lungs and let out a blood curdling scream.

"GET OFF HER!" I heard another voice shouting it must have been her brother. I knew I needed to get their quickly before Kuza could get to Ricky.

As I got their Jessica was on the floor dead in her pool of blood. I ran over pushing Kuza onto the floor before he could get hold of him.

"you're pathetic Kuza he's just a kid and you killed her for him you disgust me" I hissed "
Get the fuck out of here!" I snapped.
"I'll see you around Chris don't think you can protect him forever" said Kuza before using his vampire speed to run away.

Turning around I looked to see Ricky lifeless on the floor. Slowly walking over I kneeled down to look at him. Slowly I reached my fingers to brush hair of his face. He was beautiful just like his sister.

"Promise me you'll protect him" her voice flashed in my mind. Slowly I picked up his small frame and vampire speed ran to their house. I knew where it was since I've been their before to speak to Jessica in the past. Quickly using my vampire speed I jumped into the house and walked into his room placing him on the bed.

"Maybe one day we'll meet" I whispered.
