So, I lied, but It wasn't my fault. My nephew's birthday was being prepared and I didn't factor in people needing that much help!

Sydney's POV
I looked at Alek as a smile came on his face, but something was different about this smile. Could it be that it was real?
I watched as the kids let go of him and turned to look at me. I had to say, they were gorgeous. At least he could do one thing right.
The girl, who I was guessing was Annabeth, she was around 3 feet tall and had a small frame. She had beautiful light brown hair that flowed down and stopped at her waist, her eyes were like the forest, green with hints of gray and brown in them, her little cute button nose look just like her dads, her rosy red cheeks stood out against her porcelain skin and made her even more beautiful, and to top it off her lips were not thin or plump they were perfect. She wore a cute little black sweater with a pink cat on it, black leggings that had pink bows on the sides of them, and shiny black uggs.
Which meant the boy was Zane. He was pretty tall for 6 years old, he had to be around 4 feet and a couple inches. He had light brown hair just like his sister that was cut low on the sides and spiked in the front, his eyes were a light gray color but were kind of cloudy, his features were similar to his Father and sister but he also had mysterious features the resembled neither of them, like his skin, was tanner than both of theirs and it was a natural glow. He had a green crew neck and black jeans with a pair of white and green converses on, his uncle differently had influenced his clothing choices. He was so handsome and I could tell he was going to be a lady's man just like the rest of the guys in this family.
"Daddy, who's that?" Her small voice held so much authority to it that it shocked me.
"This is Sydney. She's my new fiance," he held his hand out to me and I quickly made my way over to them.
The two kids inspected me for a moment before Annabeth smiled at me and made her way closer to me.
"Well, at least she's pretty. I can't wait to play dress up, and hairstylist, and house, and cook with you!" She squealed loudly and hugged my leg.
I smiled down at her as she smiled back up to me, to be honest she had an impeccable smile for a little girl. She soon let go of my leg and ran out the room to god knows where.
"Zane? What do you think of her?"
Zane looked up at his Father with a raised eyebrow before letting it rest and looked back at me. "Why do we need another Mom? Every time we get a new Mom she always turns out to be mean or doesn't care about us."
"Zane.-"
Zane ran passed me and out of the living room, not giving his Father a chance to talk at all. It was sad really, no kid should have to go throw losing multiple Mothers when he just wanted one true Mother figure.
I turned to Alek and let out a frustrated sigh while running his hand through his hair. I guess this was something he didn't want reveal, but I mean come on. It was bound to happen sooner or later, I guess it was sooner rather than later.
"I'm sorry, I'll go talk to him. He just doesn't react well to new people."
"That's a lie."
"Excuse me. What did you say?"
"That's a lie."
"How do you.-"
I cut him off and shook my head. "How do I know? Did you see how your son reacted? I wouldn't react to new people either when you have every hoe and paid prostitute on the West Coast running in and out of you house. I'm going to talk to him."
I made my way out the living room and up the staircase to the second floor. This house seemed to get more extraordinary as I explored more the house. I turned to the left wandered walked down the hallway, pressing my ear to each door I stopped and chuckled as I heard Annabeth playing with her dolls. I went to the next door and what I heard broke my heart.
Soft sniffles. Yup, he was crying.
I knocked first before putting my hand on the doorknob. "Zane? Can I come in?" I pushed the door open slowly and looked at him with a small smile.
"Just get out okay? Don't act like you care for Annabeth or me," he sniffled and turned on his side to face the wall.
Walking in fully, I closed the door and made my way over to his bed. Sitting down on the edge I touched his arm and he turned to look at me. His gray eyes were now dark and puffy from crying.
"Zane. Look, I know your Father has a lot of...females coming in and out of the house, but I promise, I'm not leaving you. I want to be close with your sister and you, you guys seem like lovely kids and if you give me a chance I'll show you that I'm not here to hurt you," I rubbed his arm slowly as I looked at him.
He sat there for a second, deep in his own thoughts before he looked up at me and with a trembling lip he asked, "You promise?"
I nodded and opened my arms to him in which he gladly accepted. He laid his head on my chest and began to weep against me. He was a broken little boy that obviously wanted a Mother figure and I would be that for him, even if this contract doesn't work, he's mine and I'll always be there.
He cried for a while before falling asleep against me. I moved to lay him down and got up, but he grabbed my hand and whimpered.
"Don't go. Please?" He rubbed his eye and sat up.
"How about this, you change into your pjs and I'll go change into mine and check on your sister, then I'll come and get you and we'll sleep in your Father's bed tonight." I smiled at him and he smiled and nodded.
I walked out the room and made my way to Annabeth's room, slowly opening the door I saw her sitting on the floor with her hello kitty pajamas on half asleep but still trying to play with her dolls.
"Hey Ann, do you want to come sleep with Zane and I in your Father's bed?"
She popped up at the sound of my voice and slowly walked over to me, holding her arms up with her eyes closed I chuckled and picked her up and turned the light off. I closed the door and walked back to Zane who was nodding off with his Captain American pajamas on.
"Zane, come on."
He got up and walked over to us and I grabbed his hand, walking with them I stopped and looked around.
"Which one is your Dad's room?"
Zane pointed to a door in the other hallway so I walked them in there and towards the bed, laying Annabeth down first and then picking up Zane I laid him down next to her and ran around and climbed in behind Annabeth. Kissing both of their heads I pulled the covers over all of us and laid my head down on the pillow, yawning loudly I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
