Sydney's POV

"What....in the hell?"

These were the first words to come out of my mouth when I woke up. My vision was blurry and I couldn't remember the past 18 hours and maybe more. When I sat up I realized I was in a dress and tried to remember why. I brought my hand up to my forehead only to be stopped half way. What in the world? There was a shackle on my wrist that connected to an iron bed post.

"You're awake."

I looked up to see a man I've never seen before. His skin was tanned and was marked with various things, mostly scars and tattoos. His face was...flawless. It was well groomed and rocked a short cut beard. His eyes were a hazel color but was mostly green rather than brown. His hair was combed to the side and the sides were cut low but not too much. He was pretty tall, about 6'4 maybe less. His muscles practically bulged out of his gray v neck shirt as I couldn't tell his legs because he wore a pair of black joggers and.-

"Are you done staring? I think it's rather impolite," he reached over to a bowl that was sitting by him and plucked a grape and popped it into his mouth.

"Well I think it's rather rude to be tied to an iron bed post," I shot back and glared at him.

He chuckled and sat up in the chair he was in. "This one has an attitude. It'll change, don't worry." He leaned forward and clasped his hands together.

I raised an eyebrow and rolled my eyes towards him before squinting my eyes at him. "What do you want with me? Why and how did I get here?"

He looked at me for a moment before leaning back against the chair and shrugged. "I don't care to reveal that to you at the moment."

"Well my husband will come looking for me so when you.-" I began but was cut off with the mystery's man deep voice.

"Your husband is as much of a joke as your sham of a marriage."

My eyes grew wide at his statement and I was lost for words. For some reason, I couldn't deny that he was right. He seemed so confident with his answer as if he knew something I didn't.

"I take it I'm right, hm?" He licked his lips and smirked at me before getting up and walking towards me. "You know, he can surely pick some pretty brides. I would have never thought he'd pretend to have jungle fever. Too bad mine is real," he bit his bottom lip and looked me over.

I laughed and shook my head. "Aye, yo. Romeo, I'm not your Juliet so dip. Ain't nobody got time for yo lame spit game. Really? Jungle fever? What's next? "The blacker the berry the sweeter juice?"" I snorted and roll my eyes.

"You know what you got a mouth on you, someone needs to displ.-"

"Jared."

Both of our heads turned to the new presence that stepped into the room. He was a simple blonde hair boy that couldn't have been any more than 20 or 21. He was small and scrawny but seemed like he could hold his own.

"What Akim?" He turned to him the irritated dripping in his voice.

"The boss said get unchain her and get her ready. He wants to see her asap," the boy name Akim didn't wait. He simple turned around and walked away.

Jared rubbed the beard on his face before turning to look at me. "Seems like the boss is ready for you. Just when I was going to have some fun. Don't worry, our fun will come sweety. Literally." He winked at me then moved over to unchain me.

Dear lord. If there was a moment that Alek could actually be useful, it would be now. Where is he?
