Sydney's POV
I hadn't realized I had drifted off to sleep until I felt arms reaching across me. Opening my eyes slowly, I was met with gray ones that started down into mine for a moment.
"What are you doing?" I asked as I sat up and realized I wasn't in the car anymore.
He strapped the seat belt across my waist and sat in the chair and did his next. "You were still sleep when we boarded the plane, so I strapped you in."
I nodded and looked at the window. The bright light stung my eyes, but I soon got over it. As I sat there quietly there were a million question running through my mind. But I didn't ask any of them yet, I just sat there as we took off.
Soon the pilot gave us the green light to unbuckle and relax. So I unbuckled my seatbelt and continued to look out the window. I don't know how long it was, but I was so lost in the my own world that I hadn't realized that there was someone talking to me.
"Mrs. Sidorov? Would you like something to eat?"
I turned my head to see a small blonde standing in front of me. She couldn't be any taller than 5'7 but she had a body to die for. She had blue piercing eyes and the clothes she wore was pretty tight, which caused her fake tits and butt to be noticeable from a mile away.
"Yes, please. " She nodded and walked away to go get me a menu.
I turned my head to Alek's seat to notice he was gone so I got up and began searching for him. I soon found him seated at a table with papers sprawled all over. He had his laptop in front of him and he was feverishly typing away.
He looked truly busy and I didn't know if I should mess with him, but the way his forehead creased you could tell he was stressed out. I decided to give in and went over and rested my hands on his shoulder.
"Hey. What are you working on?" I smiled softly as I looked over his shoulder.
"Work." He said and didn't even make a movement to look let alone acknowledge my presence in it's full.
I nodded and twisted my lips to the side. "Okay. I know you're doing work. What are you working on?"
"Even if I told you, you wouldn't understand. You went to dance school and I, well I went to business school. Two different things. Now, go make yourself useful and dance or sing somewhere." He shooed me away like a fly and started looking at the papers on the table.
I rolled my eyes at his comment and snatched the papers away from him. I sat down across from him and started going over the papers. Seeing what was wrong from the jump point, I grabbed his computer and began fixing the documents he had laid in front of him.
"What are you doing?" He looked surprised for a moment before moving over my shoulder.
"Apparently fixing something that a guy that went to business school couldn't. You're company is missing over $2 million dollars and from the looks of it," I strolled down on the computer and wrote down three names on a sheet of paper along with the bank account numbers. "It's going to these accounts and these names."
When he saw the names his nostrils flared and looked back at him. "They're over my finance department. Are you sure this is current?"
I nodded and got up. "Most definitely, but if you don't believe me, that's fine. I'm just a girl who went to dance school after all." I faked a smile at him and got up to returned to my seat.
Half an hour later he returned to his seat also and looked at me. Leaning back into his seat, he sighed heavily and closed his eyes. "I shouldn't have said what I said and I apol.-"
"Don't do that. You've said worst things so it doesn't matter," I reached over and grabbed the magazine that was next to my chair.
Alek moved and snatched the magazine away before I could look inside. "I know you have questions, so ask them."
"Fine. Was all those things you said about you...Being in my room.. true? "
He nodded and gave me a lopsided grin. "It's true, I love the heart shape mole on your waist."
My eyes went wide and my hand moved down to where it was as I started at him. "That's...weird.. You didn't care that you'd creeping on me?!"
He rolled his eyes in response and raised an accusing eyebrow. "The things you did were far from innocent. I remember the first time you got high. Really cute.-"
"You were there for that?!" I shrieked out and stood up in front of him.
"Oh hush. You were always aware of me being there. You'd always say "I know there is someone there, but since you won't show yourself then I don't care anymore." Did you put on that show for me?" He got up and put his hand under my chin.
I pushed my hand away and growled. "No, I thought I was paranoid. I wasn't doing it for some creepy guy who stalked me, even in my house."
"You enjoyed knowing I was there so don't even act like that," he brushed his hand against my neck and licked his lips. "You enjoyed knowing I was watching over you and I believe that sometimes you wanted me to come out from where I was hiding. Either way, you were always supposed to be mine."
My breathing became labored for a moment just from his touch, but I soon calmed myself down. I pushed his hand away and rolled my eyes. "Alek, I didn't, so stop. Besides, you find me disgusting anyway so it doesn't matter how I feel."
He looked at me and for the first time I notice he gray eyes had darkened into a storm. "It's not an option to find you attractive because I can't. You're just my wife until my family decides I get to kill you I will torture you for a bit longer, so get over it."
I bite my bottom lip so I wouldn't start crying and nodded at his words. "You're right, I'm sorry."
Alek's features softened for a moment and he opened his mouth to say something, but he was cut off by the pilot.
"I'm going to need everyone to sit down as we are about to land. Please make sure you fast your seat belts as we are about to have a smooth landing."
We both sat back down and I fastened myself in this time. Than I realized something. Where could we possibly landing this early?
"Alek? Where are we going? Isn't it a little early to be.-"
"I'm taking you to a resort. If we are going to be married than we need to know each other and I mean know everything about each other. We are stuck for a year until the mafia decides what they want to do. So not only will we learn everything about each other, we must train you. We'll spend the next two months there."
"But..What about the kids and?"
"Somebody is already taking care of them and they're in good hands. Now hush, I hate landings and I don't want to hear your voice as the last thing in case we crash land."
