Sydney's POV
"Where are we?" I shielded my eyes from the sun as it was beating down heavily.
"We are in Maldives, if you must know," He walked down before me and nodded at the driver. "Hello Robert, it's good to see you again."
The man name Robert opened the door and nodded his head and almost closed the door until he saw me.
"I'm sorry madam, I didn't know he brought a guest with him," he bowed his head causing me to smile and slip in the car.
He closed the door and went to get into the driver's seat. We drove off the airplane platform and headed for the street. I rolled down my window and breathed in the fresh salt water that floated through the air.
"Mr. Sidovor, I didn't know you were bringing a lady friend," Robert stopped at the light and looked in the mirror at Alek than at me.
Alek looked up and raised an eyebrow. "She's my wife, Rob."
Robert was in shock as his eyes grew three times their size before he shook his head and proceed to drive. "Excuse me sir, your wife? Since when have you became the marrying type. Last time I checked.-"
"Shouldn't you be focused on the road, Robert?" Alek growled slightly causing Rob to roll up the divider.
I turned to Alek who had went back to looking at his paper work. "Alek, did you have to be rude?"
He nodded and shifted to the next page without looking up at me.
"Alek...Alek.." He continued to ignore me which irked my nerves so I snatched his papers and held them behind my back.
"Sydney, give me my papers back. I need to finish up the business plans and send them off tomorrow."
He tried to reach for them but I shifted myself more away from him while blocking him with one arm.
"Nope, you said this is a real vacation. That means no work," I said as I continued to block his attacks. Before I knew it my back hit the seat and he was on top of me. He moved to pin both of my wrists above my head causing me to drop the papers.
I ceased all breathing as he had stop trying to get the papers and was focused on me. His gray eyes had darken as if a storm was brewing. I hadn't notice how close he was until I felt his minty breath fan over my lips. I didn't dare move as we were only a few inches apart and he seemed as he if was determined to close the distance pretty soon.
"Mr. Sidovor, we are here," Robert opened the door and then shut it quickly when he saw us.
Alek closed his eyes and took a deep breath before moving off me and fixing his jacket. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he let his back rest on the seat. I got up and fixed my shirt that had risen up some. I opened the door to find a blushing Rob and gave him an apologetic smile as I walked towards the hotel.
The interior of hotel was gorgeous! Everything was white, blue, and grey. They had a large waterfall by the sitting area which a big tv playing current news. The floor was marble white tiles with cracks of blue in them. Everything else from the walls was a light grey color. All together it was calming.
