Don't steal my shit <3

Sydneys P.O.VI rolled my neck as the wind whip through my hair. Currently we were on the boat to Malé which was the capital of Maldives. It didn't take that long from the small island that was nearby. I stepped off the boat and took a deep breath of the refreshing air. I pulled down the bottom of my biker shorts that I decided to change into cause lord knows it is hot.
"Could you come on,"
I tried to ignore him and began to walk off the pier until I felt an arm around my waist.
"We're in public, so stay close. We have to look like a loving couple," Alek bent down and whispered in my ear before pulling me close.
I sighed as quietly as I could and than put a fake smile on my face before pulling him along. We walked along the colorful streets of Malé trying different foods and going into different shops. I enjoyed being here because it was out of the normal. Usually where Alek went they knew him, they knew he had money, but here it was different. He was just a tourist and he was being treated as one. Personally, I found it hilarious, him on the other hand, well....
"Sydney. Are you coming?"
I looked up and realized he was pulling me into a restaurant . It was a pretty decent size but it was very laid back. Upon entering it had to be karaoke night because someone was blaring words into a microphone. I cringed as the person was trying to sing a Charlie Puth song but was off key. We took a seat at table closer to the front which was odd. He had something planned and I knew it.
A small tan girl with an pixie hair cut finally got up on the stage and took the microphone. "Alright alright, that's enough torture. Thanks Sonai. You're voice is...well let's just say don't quit your day job! Next we'll have a local band playing a set."
"I thought you might like this place since you have your degree in music," Alek looked at me and then got up. "What would you like to drink?"
I shrugged my shoulders and told him to surprise me before he disappeared. I looked around the restaurant and saw that it was very laid back. People didn't have on expensive clothes or jewelry. I took a deep breath and slipped my ring off and onto my my necklace.
"I'm use to the people here, no one will steal from you," Alek sat a drink down in front of me and a bowl of nachos on the table.
I went to grab one and he swatted my hand. I pouted a bit but perked up as my ear picked up on Summer Walker's Girls Need Love. I was shocked that the band was playing it so well but no one was singing. I tried to contain myself but I couldn't help myself. I started humming but they came out more as words. At this point my eyes were closed and I was in my zone. The song that came on next was Queen Naija's Medicine and I really couldn't help but belt the words out.
You tell me you love me
But I ain't been feeling it lately
You say you love keeping me fly but
Can't keep me from looking' so crazy
Come in at 6 in the mornin'
Where you been, where you been?
Who is that texting your phone?
Just a friend, just a friend (okay)
My intuition never lies
