Loki was getting weaker.

He didn't say so, but Savannah knew, because he had stopped arguing with her, and his breaths were slow and laborious.

The battle ended, because the Avengers were still pretty good, even if their two best fighters were down. They had no idea where Loki and Savannah had gone, and they were about to make their way back to base, assuming that they had already teleported there.

It was Tony who saw them. He had asked JARVIS to scan the area for life-forms, in case a civilian had been caught in the crossfire, and was lost or injured. His AI gave him the co-ordinates of two human-shaped beings, and he flew over. He didn't see them at first, but the cameras of his suit soon picked up them up.

Tony landed next to them, and, needless to say, he was rather surprised to see Savannah and Loki there.

Before he could ask any questions, however, Savannah heaved herself to her feet, and wobbled towards him. She was bleeding heavily, and when she eventually came to a stop, very nearly swooned.

'What happened?' he asked, once he had steadied Savannah.

'I don't know. Can you bring both of us back?'

'No. I mean, I don't think so.'

'Okay. Take Loki, and then come back for me.'

'I can't leave you on your own.'

'And I can't leave him on his own.'
