'But we have to work on your memory again.'

'No, we don't. I can wait a little longer, and anyway, we've made good progress so far.'

'I don't think that getting as far as me getting ridiculously drunk is good progress.'

'Well, I do.'

'Why are you being so stubborn?'

'I could very well say the same to you.'

'Savannah, I want, more than anything, for you to get your memory back.'

'Loki, do you know how worried I was when you collapsed in the middle of the street?'

'No, but I-'

'Loki, listen to me. I care about what happens to you, and I don't want to see you hurt. Ever. So when I say I'd rather not ever recover my memory than risk injuring you, I damn well mean it. Understand?'

'No.'

'Please, Loki. Can't we do this later? I think you should rest.'

'But I don't want to.'

'But want you to.'

'Why?'

'Because. Because I know that you've strained yourself fixing me, and I know that I can go a little longer with less memory than I should. But you need  rest, and there will be no way on Earth I'm going to let you damage your health for something that isn't absolutely critical, and can not only wait, but is not even necessary.'

'It is necessary.'

'Loki, if you care about my sanity at all, please sleep.'

'As you wish.'
