"The pizza tastes great," Harry gasps at his first bite. "If only mum allowed me to come here more often" he sighs. "Can you please just adopt me?" Harry jokes and mum laughs loudly in reply. I join in, but my laugh is nothing compared to mum's.

"I would love that, at least I'd have someone to talk about sports with," Evan says as he takes his plate in a hand and Harry's in the other, heading toward the kitchen.

I hear Harry thank him under his breath through a small smile.

"And you would help Eve study," Patty adds ecstatically in my direction as if I'd be winning the lottery.

I sigh, rolling my eyes at her as we both stand to put our plates in the sink.

"You're better at studying, Patty." Harry shrugs as he hands me a glass of Pepsi and Patty another of Coke. As we reach the couch and start picking shuffling through CDs for a movie to watch, Patty's phone rings and I know it's her mum without a glance at her lit up screen.

"Hey Mum." Patty fakes an excited tone and dully points Harry toward some movie.

"Do I really have to come?" Patty whines, pouting her bottom lip a little.

"I already have dress for the wedding, I don't need a new one. Mum I wanna stay a little bit longer," She whines, dragging out a please. I sigh knowing Patty's mum and of her stubbornness.

"Fine," she shouts over the little voice we could barely hear and speaking a little too fast for us to process. "Fine, tell me when you arrive." She says calmer that time in an annoyed tone and hangs up.

"You're leaving?" Harry pouts as he rests his head on the couch.

"I guess so, I have to go buy a dress for this wedding we have this weekend. Mum won't be free any other time." she sighed, fiddling with her fingers. "God, I hate how she's never free anymore, it's seriously so annoying." She complains and rolls her eyes.

"Next time, hand mum the phone, she'll convince her. You know how good my mum is at negotiations." I smile and Patty just sighs again.

"I'll try that next time. Now remind me where I left my sneakers again." She says as she stands up from the couch and looks around the living room.

"It's in my room," I say and she walks towards the stairs. I follow her, leaving Harry to follow my steps.

"It's next to the nightstand, the one on the left," I motion her as she follows my directions and sits on the bed to pull them on. I sit next to Patty and Harry takes a seat on the opposite side of her.

"Next time, we should have a sleepover, it would be really fun." Harry says as his eyes flutter with excitement. Patty's lips curved into a soft smile at his somewhat-childish expression.

"I would love that. Good luck convincing my parents." She jokes with a hint of sarcasm making Harry laugh.

I've always made an effort at making myself believe I'm over him. I am over him. Completely and utterly over him. But God, whenever I see him laugh, a little too loud and a little too hard, nose scrunched up, green eyes squinted nearly closed and body bent back a little, I love him a little more. I'm sorry, I love him I love him I love him.

Patty's phone suddenly rings startling me from my thoughts and I hear her sigh deeply when she looks at her screen between us.

"I'll see you two tomorrow," She groans out of annoyance as she stands up after lacing her sneakers.

We both nod and Harry pulls his arms around her shoulders making her roll her eyes, but I could see a small smile align her lips. Harry has a way with people and sometimes it scared even those closest to him.
