Harry.
"What's wrong?" Finn asks as he plops into the cushion beside me.
"She isn't replying. I've been calling her all morning."
"Eve, yeah?"
I nod which has a soft chuckle escaping his lips.
"She's probably still asleep. Don't worry," he shrugs as if his assumption could actually put me at ease. "So Netflix?" He scrolls further down the countless number of shows we've started, but never got around to anything further than season two.
My eyes widen and I'm about to tell him to start up Friends again when my phone rings.
I gasp as I slide the it open, not bothering to even looking at the screen.
"God, where were you?" I sigh in relief only to receive a little hum.
"Um..home?"
"Wha-"
"Have you deleted my number already?" She giggles and I roll my eyes, slumping further into the couch.
I wish.
"This is Miranda."
"I know. I'm sorry. I was just expecting someone-else," I mumble.
Take the hint.
Take the hint.
Please take the hint.
"Oh..okay," she giggles.
She didn't take the hint.
"So I was wondering if you might wanna come over tonight?"
"Well um I don't know. School's over and we're done with chemistry so.." I trail off.
"Harry Styles were you just using me for my chem grade?" She lets out an exaggerated gasp and I roll my eyes.
"I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it like that. I'm just honestly not in the mood today," I mumble and this time it's her turn to sigh.
"I know you're not in the mood. You're never in the mood anymore, H. Know what? Maybe you'd want to do stuff more if you'd just stop filling your head with useless things," She scoffs.
"Eve is not useless," I snap.
"I didn't mention Eve, did I?"
"Look I'm going out with Liam and Niall later today. If I have time I'll come over after. I promise."
"Fine Harry. Please try. Have a nice day," She says before hanging up, not even giving me a chance to say goodbye.
"Miranda?" Finn asks as he turns up the TV.
"Yeah, she wants me to come over. I don't know."
"And why are you so against it? She's nice and smart and hot as hell. Stop being so antisocial," He scoffs and I let out a sharp breath, storming into my room and slamming the door behind me.
I don't understand why they feel the need to push Miranda on me.
We're done.
We've been done and I intend on keeping it that way.
They're getting on my nerves and so is she.
The worst part is that I know she doesn't like me as much as she likes my company. She only ever wants me around when I'm wanted by somebody else and if that isn't bad enough, she and Eve have never exactly seen eye to eye.
