17 - you're outnumbered now...

today was finally the day of our gender reveal. i couldn't wait to find out whether we were having a girl or a boy. i didn't care either way but i was still so excited. jas and alessia had planned everything, all i did was sit back and relax. they went very minimalist which was exactly what i wanted. the guest list was quite small, only close friends and family, which was perfect, the actual reveal was in the form of a cake. i was so grateful to have those two in my life, i loved them both so much.

i wore a white dress with my hair down, curled. mason wore green cargo trousers with a grey nike hoodie and a navy blue cap, he looked FINE, i don't know if it was the baby making me talk like this but goodness me did he look handsome. before i knew it, everyone had started arriving. my parents turned up first and i was so pleased to see them. they arrived at the same time as mason's parents, we went and greeted them, my mum and debbie complimented my bump. i went and got a drink before greeting more guests.

just when i thought everyone had arrived i got tapped on the shoulder. i turned around to see maddy stood there. i was in complete shock. i dropped my drink all over the floor and could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, i could see the tears in hers. i pulled her into a hug and held her tightly, my fingertips white from the grip i had. "what are you doing her mads?" i said in between sobs, "i couldn't miss your fucking gender reveal now, could i?" she replied, making us both cry harder, "i missed you so much! i mean look at you, you're actually pregnant!" she exclaimed, letting her grip on my shoulders loosen to look at my bump. she placed her hands on it and i placed mine on top of hers, "i know! oh, god i missed you more!" i replied, pulling her into another hug.

"trio reunion and i'm not invited?" we heard a voice say from behind us, "judas! i missed you" maddy said, pulling him into a hug, "i missed you too mads" he replied and we all went to sit down and have a quick catch up. "so what have i missed? why are you here? how are you here?! not that i'm complaining of course" i said and we all laughed. "well, i was speaking to j the other week and told him that filming is coming up for a new show i'm doing but it's here in the uk!" she begun and i gasped, "dan, let me finish!" she said chuckling, "then jude mentioned about today so i scheduled my flight so i could be here." she said

"so when does filming start?" i asked eagerly, "well, actually filming starts next week and goes on for a good few months but because of obx and other projects i've been doing lately, i'm gonna give myself a little break afterwards" she said, "are you saying what i think you're saying?" i asked her, "i've rented out a flat about a 5 minute drive from here for at least the next year. there is no way i'm missing out on being here with you and bubba. i need those brownie points if i'm gonna be their favourite." she replied, "yep, no way, uncle judey will reign supreme" jude snapped back, "sure, sure" mads said, all of us chuckling, me still trying to take in the fact that maddie lived here now.

we all walked back out to the garden and i took maddies hand, pulling her toward mason. "mads, this is my boyfriend mason, mase, this is maddie" i said, introducing the two in person, "it's really lovely to meet you maddy, i've heard so much about you." he said holding his hand out for her to shake, she ignored it and pulled him into a hug, "it's lovely to meet you too mason, i'm really happy dan has someone like you to look after her" she said, just as he was about to reply, mama d and my mum came up behind us, mama d hugging me whilst my mum hugged mads, out of the corner of my eye, i saw mason smile at me befor going to greet dec and lauren with some of the other england boys who had turned up.

around half an hour later, less and jas walked over to me and mase and told us that it was time to reveal the gender, i was so excited. there was a white sheet on the floor with the cake in the middle. it was a white cake with a white piped border and a heart in the middle. there were knitted baby booties place in front of the cake and a picture from the latest scan behind it. two wine glasses were placed next to the cake for me and mase to cut into it with. we sat down on the blanket, everyone surrounding us, alessia taking charge as always.

"okay! dani and mason are gonna place their wine glasses into the cake after you guys countdown from ten!" she said and my hands begun to shake. "ready everyone?" jas asked earning cheers from the crowd of our friends. "TEN!" the countdown started and i looked at mase, the joy on his face obvious. "NINE! EIGHT!", "you ready baby?" he asked me, "SEVEN!", "as ready as i'll ever be." i replied, "SIX! FIVE! FOUR!" he interlinked our hands and brought them to his mouth to kiss the back of mine. "THREE! TWO! ONE!" we plunged our glasses into the cake and took them out to see pink! we were having a girl!

i could hear everyone screaming and cheering, i looked over to mason to see tears glazing his eyes, we stood up and i pulled him into the biggest hug. "we're having a baby girl" i said, tears beginning to run down my face for the second time today, "we're having a baby girl!" he replied, kissing me softly and hugging me again. both of our parents came up behind us and congratulated us, then jas, lewis, sam, less and luca, then mads, jude, lauren and dec.

we went around and said thank you and goodbye to some of our friends, i saw one of my good friends, frankie holland and her boyfriend romeo, so we spoke to them for a bit before they had to leave and before i knew it everyone had gone except for maddie, jude , lauren and dec. i could see this becoming the best friendship group. we spent the evening watching films and chilling, eating leftover treats from the day. i still could not believe i was having a baby girl.
