Jenna took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay." She'd happily let him have another taste if he really wanted.

Daniel lifted her off the table, holding her close against him briefly before he let her go. Her legs had turned to jelly, and she clung to him, taking in his scent. The man smelled incredible, and she wondered if he was wearing cologne. If he were, every time in the future she smelled that scent, she'd always think of this moment. She finally stepped away from him, working to regain her composure, then picked up her margarita and took a long sip, studying him quietly.

He'd moved and was leaning casually against the wall, watching her. He seemed calm again and not at all like he'd just eaten her out. He straightened and stepped forward, brushing her hair back from her neck. "Are you alright, Jenna?"

She smiled at him. "Yes. More than alright."

He nodded and took her hand in his warm one again. They left the private booth and headed back to the bar. Daniel bought her another margarita and another two shots for himself, quickly downing them like he had the first two. Then he grabbed her hand and led her down to the dance floor, taking her out into the center of the crowd.

The couple danced for the next few hours, holding each other close. Occasionally, men would try to dance with her, but one look from Daniel had them turning away. Women also occasionally tried to flirt with him, causing a pang of jealousy to hit Jenna, but Daniel ignored them, keeping his focus solely on her. Jenna knew she shouldn't feel jealous. Daniel wasn't hers. He was a werewolf with a mate out there somewhere, and that was the woman he would spend the rest of his life with.

There could never be any type of commitment between them. The fact that he was a werewolf and she was a human who wasn't supposed to know anything about the supernatural world would only make things even more complicated. All she could do was relish every second in his arms and not allow herself to think about what would happen after tonight, though she never wanted the night to end. But tomorrow would be here soon enough, and Jenna would leave New York City and Daniel behind.

They really hadn't spoken much, as the music made it difficult for her to hear anything, but that hadn't mattered. The tingles still danced between them wherever they touched, and he kept her close. There was a connection there that she didn't fully understand, but she was completely mesmerized by him. He seemed just as mesmerized by her, too, and she loved how he gave her his entire focus. not paying attention to anything else or anyone else.

Closing time came much too soon, and the club began to empty out, though Daniel didn't leave her side. He didn't seem to want the night to end either.

Jenna suddenly felt a hand touch her back and turned to see Talia standing there, sizing up Daniel. Her gaze darted back to Jenna. "Come to the bathroom with me."

It was more of a command than a request, and she felt Daniel stiffen against her. She glanced at him, but he was looking at Talia with the same intense gaze he'd given the server. Jenna looked back at Talia.

"I'll bring her right back," she said, at first meeting his gaze before suddenly dropping her eyes and almost seeming to shrink away.

Jenna leaned into Daniel. "I'll be right back," she said softly to him.

His gaze softened as he looked at her, and he nodded, loosening his grip on her. "I'll be waiting," he said, his lips brushing her ear and sending shivers down her spine.

Jenna turned back to Talia and followed her to the bathroom. The moment the door closed, Talia was on her. "You've been dancing with him all night. Who is he?" she whisper-yelled.

"He's not in your pack?" Jenna answered Talia's question with one of my own, not quite sure how much she wanted to say to her. She'd thought he was, but maybe not?

Talia shook her head. "I don't know who he is. It's weird; he really has no aura at all, but the way he looked at me when I asked you to go to the bathroom spoke volumes. He has to be an Alpha." She shrugged. "But I've never seen him before. I'm one hundred percent certain that he's not a member of my pack."

"I just know his name is Daniel," Jenna said, distractedly. If he were an Alpha of another pack, then he definitely wasn't from around here. Talia had told her that there were no other packs in New York. Not that it really mattered. She was moving anyway, and she already knew she'd probably never see him again after tonight. "He's really sweet," she murmured, looking at herself in the mirror. Her makeup was still in place, and she adjusted her dress.

Talia snorted. "Somehow, I don't think he'd appreciate you calling him sweet. He arrived with the Beta of my pack, so he's probably a visiting Alpha. Maybe here on business. I don't know. He's young." She checked her own makeup in the mirror before turning back to Jenna.

"The one you were dancing with is the Beta?" At some point during the night, she'd noticed Talia dancing with the blond man who had entered the club right before Daniel. She was also kind of impressed with herself for figuring out that he was the Beta.

Talia smiled. "Yup. And he wants us to leave with him and his entourage. Apparently, they have a hotel somewhere. He wants all of us to go back there."

"And Daniel is coming too?" Jenna questioned curiously. Maybe the night didn't have to end so soon. Maybe she could have a little bit more of what she'd experienced earlier. Maybe she could lose her virginity to him after all. Did she really want to? Yes. None of her boyfriends had ever been as attentive to her as he was. Though it had only been a few hours.

"I think so," Talia said, studying her. "You realize what will probably happen, right?" She gave her a pointed look.

Sex. Jenna nodded, remembering how she'd wanted him to fuck her up in the private booth a few hours ago, and his response. Desire coursed through her once again. She wanted more than just him going down on her. She wanted to see him naked, to see if his body was just as hot underneath his clothes as she thought it might be. She wanted his mouth on her, his hands on her, and she wanted him buried deep inside of her.

Talia looked at her sharply before looking back at the mirror one last time. "You didn't already have sex with him, did you?"

Jenna blushed. "No?"

Talia turned towards Jenna and lifted an eyebrow at her. She crossed her arms.

"We didn't. He just..."

"He just what?" Talia asked.

"He, um, went down on me," Jenna confessed.

Both of her eyebrows shot up. "Here at the club? Was it good?"

"It was amazing," she muttered. Better than amazing. She looked up. "Where else?"

Talia chuckled and pushed her blond hair back from her neck and sighed. "Not sure I want to sleep with the Beta, but oh, what the hell. No one says I have to," she muttered. "Let's get you back to him before he sends out a search party. He wasn't thrilled that I interrupted the two of you. He made that rather obvious." She pushed Jenna out of the bathroom.

Jenna glanced around when they emerged from the bathroom. The club was almost empty now. She saw the Beta across the dance floor speaking to the men he had arrived with. Both of them had beautiful women clinging to them, probably she-wolves. Talia headed across the floor towards the Beta.

Daniel was standing near them, his corded arms crossed over his muscled chest as he waited for her. The moment he spotted Jenna, a smile touched his lips, and he headed her way.

"We're all going to a hotel," he said when he approached her, his eyes scanning over her in a way that almost made her blush again. "Would you like to come?"

And continue what they started earlier? A girl could hope. "Of course."

He smiled back, taking her hand again and lifting it to his lips. "Okay, let's go."
