I slowly ate my chocolate ice cream with a hint of irritation on my face. I was forced by the one and only Shayne to go out and 'have fun' with Chris. As you can see, I was no where near enjoying it.
"Damn," I heard Chris grunt, causing me to look up at him. His eyes were staring at some ratchet woman's ass and I sucked my teeth. Is he really that fucking rude? "Shawty, let me holla at you for a minute!"
I rolled my eyes as he got up and strolled his way towards her. An old couple looked at me, eyes full of sympathy, as I squirmed in the seat awkwardly. God please let this be over, I thought. Just as I was about to grab my things and leave, Chris came back with a disgusted look on his face.
I smirked, "Not in your league?"
He let out a breath he'd been holding, "No, her fucking breath is disgusting!"
I cackled a little at his remark and kind of loosened up. I was still skeptical about being close to him. He just wasn't the best influence. What if his ways carry on to me? That'll be.....horrible. In that case, I'll just keep my guard up.
"So what're you in to?" He asked as he ate his vanilla ice cream.
"Music, art, animals... Some of the lame things." I replied knowing that was what he was thinking.
"Nah, music is my everything. You should hear me sing." He said wiping his hands on the napkin.
"No thanks," I responded looking out the window. He probably sounded horrible.
"No really, imma sing this song I made up." He stated as he cleared his throat multiple times. Before I could stop him, he let it rip.
"What the hell babe? Damn I ain't never felt this way. Somebody, somebody tell me. I don't have a clue what to do when it comes to you. Baby you're so beautiful. Every time I see you girl, you throw me off. It's so unusual for me to be waiting, but I don't wanna blow it girl, but you should know this girl. I'm not gunna be the one to mess this up. Cause I done effed up in love before. I might be the one to take a back seat girl. We can take our time and you can run this. Stay in, go out. Anything you want girl we can do. Girl are we goin down, I don't know. But from here now, baby I'm gon' leave it up to you" he sang. My mouth dropped. He was amazing. I would've never guessed that he could sing. I could too but I would never be as bold as he was.
"That was splendid! I have never heard someone sing like that before! Have you ever considered becoming a singer?" I asked as I suddenly became hyper.
"Yeah, but it'll never happen." He replied shrugging his shoulders.
"How do you know that?" I inquired taking another scoop of my ice cream.
"Don't nobody want someone from the hood." He stated licking his bowl. I kept my thoughts to myself. I looked down at my shoes.
"What else do you like to do?" He asked changing the subject.
"I like to go shopping. You could never have too many clothes," I replied with a small grin. He nodded his head and then watched as another girl walked past. I face palmed as I watched him chase after his fifth one this evening.
Just as I was about to feel pity for him..

I was so happy to get back to my dorm and away from him, I couldn't contain myself. I opened the door to see Shorty and Shayne making out on her bed. I hacked feeling disgusted with the scene playing out in front of me. Shayne hopped off of him flushing red. He smiled at her and flashed her the call me sign. He grabbed his jacket and then scurried out.
