When Fleur awoke the next morning she'd almost forgotten about the night's events. They of course had to be some silly dream. That man couldn't be real. Yet she payed heed to his warning, and stayed away from the boy. A week passed without any strange events taking place. In truth, this disappointed Fleur. She had hoped that her boring life would take a turn for the better. Yet it didn't. She was still stuck in the castle and forced to take part in events every other evening, and spend time with the fat pig whom she was to marry. She secretly hoped that the man, the doctor, would return. He had seemed so interesting, intriguing! She had so many questions to ask, yet no one to ask, at least no one to ask if she wanted a serious and sincere answer. And not to be taken as a fool. She tried to spend much of her time alone, walking the grounds of the castle, morning as evening. Especially she enjoyed it in the evenings. To gaze longingly up at the stars, nothing could be better. And so it came to their second meeting. She was walking about the small maze that was the center of the garden, when she heard a strange noise behind her. She turned to see nothing. Continued walking. And there it was, that noise again. She turned again. Nothing. She shook her head and her strawberry blond curls were picked up slightly by a breeze. She continued her walk and before long she heard the sound again. This time she ignored it. And this time it didn't stop, instead it came closer and closer. She walked faster, and soon broke off into a run. Yet she didn't call for help. She turned a corner, hit something and fell to the ground. "Look behind you!" The shadow she'd bumbed into said. It was him. She obeyed and held back a scream at the sight of a statue. It was an angel, with its hands covering it's face. "Don't blink" The doctor said from right behind her. "What?" She asked, trying to keep herself calm. "Don't blink, if you're watching it then it can't move." The doctor replied calmly. "Just trust me." He added placing his hand on her shoulder."so if something is looking, then it can't move?" She asked to clarify. "Correct" the doctor replied. "Then I've got a plan" she said. "When I say so, then look away" she added. Pulling a mirror out of her pocket. "Now" she said, the doctor looked away and she closed her eyes holding the mirror up. Praying that it worked. When she opened her eyes again the statute had moved. Into a most terrifying position. Yet it was frozen. "Now what?" She asked. She hadn't thought that far. "Wait here, if there is one then there is bound to be another." The doctor said. And sure enough, ten minutes later he returned luring another with him. "Now, when I say so, duck." He said. She nodded. And by the looks of it, it worked. Both angels frozen looking at each other. "I think you owe me an answer to a couple of questions" Fleur said. "If you wouldn't mind answering a couple yourself" the doctor replied. "Will you walk with me monsieur?" She asked. "Of course madame" he replied, offering her his arm. She took it. "Who are you?" She asked. "The doctor" he replied simply. "That's not what I meant. I meant who are you really, where are you from, how do you know about such creatures?" She asked. He sighed "you wouldn't believe me if I told you" he said. "And why is that?" She asked. He shook his head, amused "you surely are the most curious human I've met in a while" he said. "What do you mean by human?" She inquired. "Have you met something that isn't human recently?" She clarified. He laughed "yeah, those two," he gestured to the angels. "Are definitely not human" he finished the sentence with a chuckle. "Are you human?" She asked. "Not really" he replied smiling at her. "I'm an alien, is what you humans would say, go ahead, run" he said obviously meaning it as a joke. She laughed. "As if I would, you've saved my life two times already" she said. "Three times" he corrected. "I told you to stay away from that idiot of a servant boy" he said. "Show off" she muttered and he laughed. "oh really?" He asked. "Yes, you are." She smiled. "Now, what are you, where are you from, and why are you here?" She asked. "Take it easy with the questions" he said, and sighed. He knew she wouldn't stop asking until he told her. "I'm a Time Lord, I'm from.. heck that doesn't matter, and I'm here because, well why not?" He replied. "But why France, of all places, you choose the strangest of them all" she stated. "I don't know really, it just felt like the place to be, and I guess I was right" he shrugged. "Now, I have a few things to ask you" he said. "Go ahead" she smiled. "You don't seem to be french, why are you here?" He asked "I'm not French, I was born in London, my parents sent me to this strange planet for a wealthy marriage." She said and he laughed slightly. "Different planet eh?" He teased. "It really is" she laughed. "Why have you been looking for me this past week?" He asked, she blushed slightly, so he had noticed. Damn. "I don't know, you just seem so interesting" she said honestly. "I just wanted to ask you a few questions, I wanted to know who you are" she added, and the two came to a halt in the middle of the labyrinth, taking a seat by the small pond that was placed there. "You know that paper I showed you?" He asked, she nodded, "that blank piece of paper you mean?" She replied "yes, did you really not see anything? " he asked. "No, should I?" She asked. He pulled it out again. "You are sure there is nothing there?" He asked. "Yes, absolutely sure, why?" She asked in return. "This is slightly psychic paper, it's used to trick people to see things like a police badge. Or other such things. As is now, I see a message, signed by a Fleur Augustin" he said and her jaw dropped. "it's impossible, what does it say?" She asked. "Take me away from here" he said. Letting her take a look. "You liar, there is nothing there" she said with a chuckle. Convinced he was playing tricks on her. "Intresting"
