"I don't know many. I've only had one." I answered surprised she was able to guess what I was thinking of.
"Tell me what you remember of it." Aquila answered.
"Ok." I said as I closed my eyes and tried to think of the dream again. "I was being rushed through a foggy hallway with spots of black that I couldn't recognize. The hands on my shoulders pushing me felt familiar but I don't remember who they were. Then they strapped me onto some kind of table in the darkness besides a few buttons I could see. Then I heard something in the distance I couldn't make out. Finally a noise came in clearly and two faded faces appeared saying 'Vela many people will try to take the gift we have given you but remember it is only for the three of us'. Then I was in complete darkness and the planets and flowers were being forced to crush me." I stopped there.
"Is that all?" Aquila asked as I opened my eyes. I nodded slowly relieved I had finally told someone. "Do you have any thoughts on why spots of the dream were gone?" She asked like a therapist.
"Well the dream seemed to just have come back to me so maybe parts of it just aren't ready yet." I answered feeling confident in my answer.
"So how would this have anything to do with Corvus adopting Daphne?" Aquila looked at me for answers for once.
"I don't know but I think I'll need to talk to her. Alone." I added the last part to make sure anything secret stayed between Daphne and me.
"Ok I'll bring her." Aquila left then pried Onca off of Daphne saving Daphne in the end.
"What is it?" The energetic young lady asked as she sat in front of me.
"Do you remember your parents?" I asked hoping for what I expected but not wanting to hear it all the same.
"No." She said turning serious.
"Have you had dreams of them?" I asked knowing I hit something when her shocked expression appeared.
"How do you know?" She asked once she leaned in secretively.
"I'll tell you once you say what you've dreamt." I made a deal.
"Ok, I've heard screaming voices, somehow I know it's mommy and daddy then I'm shoved into something quickly but I'm kept in the dark the entire time." She said as I started to think then it clicked.
"Ok now you can go back and bring me Aqu.." She cut me off.
"Won't you tell me why you need to know?" She asked remembering our deal.
"Ok. I think I can find your parents. Your real parents. Now go get me Aquila!" I ended happily as she ran along with a skip and in no time Aquila was back.
"Did you find it out?" She asked.
"Yes, I think so." I answered.
"Are you going to tell me?"
"No. This is my mystery and my life and I would like to keep it like that." I answered wanting to keep the secrets safe between my slowly forming puzzle not wanting someone else to play and lose the pieces.
"Just like the flowers. I understand but whenever you need help I will be with you, you can't get rid of me." She answered waiting for an objection or thanks.
"Good, because there is something I need you to do." I asked knowing she was surprised at a mission so soon.
"What?" She asked on the edge of her seat.
"I need a rocket." I asked knowing it would be almost impossible.
"Why?" She asked.
"I need to find the path before Corvus and remember no questions." I responded.
"But the only person we know with a rocket is Corvus."
"Exactly."
"Vela!" Daphne shouted as she ran up to me and I told Aquila to go start planning with Onca.
"What?" I asked the confused little girl.
"I told you my secret and you told me your secret so should I still keep them as secrets?" She asked cluelessly.
"Yes." I answered kindly then I walked her back to the unmoving Onca and Aquila sitting on a rock.
"We're going to need an army, 20 eggs, at least 7 little kids and a fleet of ships." Aquila turned her head towards me as she and Onca finished their thoughts.
"Why?" I pointed at Onca knowing this was probably her plan for a rocket.
"To take down Corvus, eat, push around and get across to Corvus's island." Onca pointed out calmly.
"We're never going to be able to get any of that stuff but at least we're thinking of ideas." I corrected trying to keep a positive feeling to keep Onca from arguing.
"How about we borrow a boat and then stop it on the opposite side of the island then steal his spaceship during the night?" Aquila asked surprisingly deviously considering she would never think of stealing anything.
"Well that just sounds ridiculous." Onca said looking away as Aquila ruined her diva moment.
"That's perfect! Your so smart!" the young girl exclaimed as she jumped up and down excited on getting started.
"So we'll leave tonight?" I said mostly talking to Onca.
"I can leave anytime!" Onca defended as she tried to stand up but instead fell back down.
"So when should we really leave?" I asked now looking at Aquila and even considering an answer from Daphne.
"I think that we should find someone to tell us what's wrong with Onca first then continue with our plan." Aquila solved the problem as she stood up.
"Where are you going?" I asked watching my lifelong friend walk away into the trees.
"I'm going to find someone!" She shouted back from behind jumbles of leaves.
"Should I help?" I asked worryingly.
"No, I think you should probably watch Onca and Daphne!" She announced making Onca feel useless.
"Ok, well then you should get going so that we might be able to leave tonight." I responded as I looked back at Onca's annoyed face and smiled smugly at her as she kept her eyes on me and Daphne started playing with a ladybug that flew onto the shoulder of her dress.
