The gentle rocking of the boat reminded me of dropping into a dream but the slight fear of snoring kept me conscious. Joined with it was a greater fear, the news that I could be slaughtered with ease at any given moment. I tucked my legs up closer to my stomach at the sheer thought of what contraptions Corvus could have back at his island. Then the boat stopped. The trip had seemed short, much too short for any self given comfort to make me feel better. Then someone left the boat, another followed and a pressure above me evaporated. After a moment's pause I concluded that Daphne and I were once again left in the camouflage boat, alone.
"Onca, what will we do?" Daphne murmured. I slowly indicated for her to stay down then I delicately started to move out from safety. I had guessed correctly as no one was in the boat anymore when I stood up. Then I inched my face out of the left door moving through it like it never existed. Out on the island's shore no one was to be seen but there was certainly a mumbling noise drifting from the top of the tall hill.
"Daphne get ready, we're leaving this island." I said after sitting in the center chair and turned the key that was left in it's hole. The motor started and not soon after Corvus was running to the unsettled water screaming at the boat speeding away uncontrollably.
"How do I work this thing?" I shouted over the roar of a under loved engine.
"Press that down to control the speed and I'll steer!" Daphne ran over as she started moving the ship towards shore and I kept it at a bolting speed. Then we were at the shore and the young girl took my seat hitting all the pads on the floor with different kinds of pressure until we magically were back at the dock.
"Onca! Daphne!" Aquila shouted as she dropped a piece of wood on the edge of the elevated platform we stood on. Then vela saw us from the woods and stopped gathering as she rushed across the unstable sand to us.
"How did you get that boat to move Onca?" Vela questioned after she swiftly embraced both of us.
"I was clueless at how the thing worked so if it weren't for Daphne we would have never made it." I replied truthfully as a look of realization spread across Vela's face like when a pebble is dropped and ripples change the surface until it once more turns still into an unreadable shape.

"Well I'm glad you both got back alright!" I joyful yelped skipping over the previous subject with a sun filled smile. But then burying my face behind their necks once more my thoughts fixed to their quizzical thoughts. So I had been right, Daphne must have come from space just like me but just hasn't been able to tap into her locked memories. Pulling away for the second time I let Aquila take a turn then started taking us back on track."Guys while we've got the advantage let's make our move." I said carefully walking towards the boat and jumping into the front seat firmly gripping the levers.
"Hey, there are only three seats where should I go?" Onca asked as everyone buckled in.
"You can just stay where you are." I said itching to take off. Pulling the lever on my left all the way back the floating ship moved an unmeasurable speed backwards causing a warning sign to pop up saying to watch my speed. Before I even noticed it though I stooped jerking the boat to a halt causing Onca to fly up to the front and collide her face and the wall.
"Sorry." I sincerely apologized as Daphne started working on getting out the first aid kit.
"Why'd you stop we're almost at the island." Aquila questioned as she glanced out the window.
"We just need to get a spaceship so first off we need to find out where one is." I stated blandly as I looked towards the island making sure that no one was coming towards us while keeping an eye out for a spaceship that might possibly be sticking out of the ground.
"You do realize we haven't even seen that side of the island yet, right?" Onca said as she rubbed her forehead after Daphne applied something to its surface.
"Wow now I feel like and idiot." I muttered as I brought the boat to life.
"Hey! What is that supposed to mean?" Onca questioned instantly jumping on the defensive. Not responding I finally caught sight of a grass covered hill not looking the least bit suspicious.
"Maybe we need to go closer." Daphne said trying to help the desperate situation.
"Well I guess if we get close enough there is a blind spot where no one should be able to see us." I encouraged and without any objections I sped the boat up to where only grassy mounds were visible. Then inching ever so carefully to make sure not a soul could hear the engine I made it right up to the land.
"I'll go out first." Onca bravely insisted but then hesitated and walked back as she remembered something. "Hey, umm Vela you know those guns that you guys use?"
"Yeah." I said placing my confusion out clearly.
"Well is it possible to have ones that would, umm, kill?"
"Yeah why." I asked again.
"Well in the boat earlier they said that they would be getting those kind." And before anyone could respond we were anchored out at sea with the island only a dimple of land in the distance.
"They said they would kill me." Onca whispered as we all laid down to sleep.
"Don't worry Onca we'll protect you." Vela comfortingly said as Daphne nodded her head. Then we all started to doze off and I fell asleep thinking of those words and wether they were true.
