Bill and Fleur's Wedding
The Burrow had been impeccably prepared for the wedding celebration.
A large marquee had been set up outside the house, and that was where the party would take place.
Sarah wore a dress in shades of antique pink and high heels-not too high, just enough to gain a few extra centimeters.
She had helped Hermione and Ginny with their makeup using the few products she had managed to bring from Naples, and now, finally, they were all ready for the ceremony.
She walked down the stairs slowly, trying to avoid tripping in her heels. Fortunately, George took her hand, guiding her down the last step.
He gave a slight bow, making the girl laugh.
"Always a gentleman, you haven't changed one bit."
"For you, my queen, anything."
Outside, the guests had already filled the marquee, while some wandered through the Weasleys' garden, chatting among themselves.
"Do you need help with anything? I don't know... bringing in more chairs?" Sarah asked the nearby Weasleys.
"Not with those things on your feet," Fred said, pointing at her shoes.
Sarah rolled her eyes, annoyed.
"Hey! These are Louboutins; they're worth more than both our lives put together right now."
The lights illuminated the evening, clear and cloudless.
Together, the twins and Sarah walked along the small carpet leading to the main marquee, where the ceremony was taking place. Around them, guards were stationed to prevent or stop any potential attack from the Death Eaters.
Sarah immediately noticed Remus scanning the area cautiously, his wand gripped tightly in his right hand. His eyes moved attentively in every direction until they landed on Sarah. A small smile appeared on the man's face upon seeing her so elegantly dressed; he no longer looked as angry.
Sarah let the twins walk ahead and took a few steps toward her godfather to join him.
"Everything quiet?" she asked in a low voice.
"For now, yes, no signs of trouble."
The girl nodded, feeling more at ease.
A brief silence fell between them, heavy with unresolved tension. There was still something left unsaid, an unspoken truth that kept them in limbo.
Sarah sighed, then looked him straight in the eyes.
"I'm sorry. For my harsh words and for being rude to you. You don't deserve that, especially because I know you're only doing this to protect me."
A sincere smile spread across Remus's face.
"Forgive me too, Sarah. I was too anxious and let myself speak without listening to your reasons. But I want you to know that my fears exist only because I care about you deeply. You and Harry are all I have left of Sirius and James."
Sarah stepped closer and hugged him tightly. Remus returned the embrace, holding her like that for a long time before she finally stepped back.
Tonks, who had witnessed the scene, approached them with a wide smile on her face.
"Well, I'd say this is great news," she said, leaning naturally against her husband and looking at Sarah with affection.
The girl nodded, even more emotional.
"Especially because Remus and I couldn't possibly have issues with our child's future godmother... or am I wrong?"
Sarah's eyes widened as she threw her hands forward, shocked.
"What? WHAT?" she shouted. Remus chuckled and gestured for her to lower her voice.
"You heard right, princess. Tonks and I are having a baby, and we would love for you to be their godmother."
Sarah's eyes widened even more, and she brought her hands to her mouth. Then, unable to contain her excitement, she started bouncing happily in front of them.
"Yes, yes, yes, yes! Absolutely yes! Oh my God, I'm going to be a godmother! And you two are going to be parents!"
She hugged them both tightly, continuing to thank them. Then, with a beaming smile, she gently placed a hand on Tonks's belly, which was now slightly visible.
"You're going to be the best parents for him... or her. Really, you deserve all the happiness in the world."
Remus and Tonks smiled, touched by her words.
He wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulders, and together, they walked toward the marquee for the party
