From the Diary of Sarah Black
Have you ever felt so torn apart? As if every choice before you was both wrong and inevitable? As if there were no way out, only a path littered with shadows and regrets?
I keep wondering why everything has to be so complicated. As if the war raging inside and outside of us wasn't enough, now their return to Hogwarts has made everything even harder.
The school is in turmoil. Every corner of the corridors echoes with whispers and accusations, murmurs laced with suspicion and resentment. Some attack them openly. Others avoid them like ghosts from a past too painful to recall. And then there's me.
I know them. Or at least... I knew them. Now it's as if I'm staring at strangers wearing the faces of people I once called friends.
They say they want to protect me. That they're here for me.
But can I really trust them?
I never thought I'd have to ask myself that. And yet now, it's the only question that haunts me—the most uncomfortable truth to face. Not knowing what to expect from them anymore. Not knowing whether the bond we once shared is just a shattered illusion.
I watch them in the classrooms, in the corridors, in the fleeting reflection of a mirror. And every time, I feel the weight of everything that's changed.
I'm trapped between a past that no longer exists and a present where I no longer feel safe. My mind is torn. My heart even more so. But my soul... my soul is tired of fighting.
And every day I ask myself: is this hesitation just fear?
Or is it the last thing keeping me grounded in reality?

Sarah closed the diary with a heavy sigh, placing it carefully on the wooden desk. Her fingers lingered on the black leather cover, brushing it almost hesitantly, as if she could draw from the material the depth of her thoughts, or perhaps leave behind the weight of her unrest.
The soft creak of the door opening pulled her from her turmoil:
Ginny had just entered the room, her face betraying a tension she couldn't quite hide. Her eyes met Sarah's, and with a nod toward the door, she signaled:
It was time for the meeting with the "new" Dumbledore's Army
The return of the Slytherins had shaken Hogwarts to its core. Opinions were divided, some accused them openly of betrayal, while others, though harboring deep resentment, chose to ignore them.
Sarah, however, felt trapped in a limbo. She knew them well, and yet she no longer recognized them.
She walked beside Ginny down the dimly lit corridors, her mind still clouded by doubt. When they reached the hidden room that now served as their headquarters, they found it already full.
The group had grown, and a faint sense of satisfaction stirred in Sarah at the sight of how many had chosen to resist.
Their silent rebellion was gaining strength with each passing day.
After a quick greeting to the other members, Sarah approached Neville, who was studying some maps with Seamus.
He looked up as she came closer and gave a firm nod.
"You're finally here," he said without preamble. Then, turning to Seamus, he added, "Get everyone's attention. We can begin."
Seamus didn't need to be told twice. With a loud, steady voice, he called the room to order. A silence thick with tension settled over the group as every eye turned to Neville, who remained standing, his expression steady and resolute.
"I think you all know why we're here," he began, arms crossed. "I'm sorry for the short notice, but this is something we need to address immediately."
No one protested. Everyone understood that the issue of the Slytherins needed to be dealt with, soon.
