In an attempt to break what destiny prepares for me,
I send a wish on a star, opening an alternate reality.
Taking a chance to change the course of my fate,
I jump through space and time to erase and recreate.Gasping for air, I wake up from a strange dream.
It felt so real, like a sent distress signal testing my sanity.
Lost in a labyrinth of possibilities, in search of what it could mean,
Trying my best to remember only exposed my vulnerability.Everything that is happening around me feels like déjà vu.
I can't shake off the feeling of my unwavering uncertainty.
Am I living in a routine, or am I watching my life on preview?
Chances of missed opportunities, passed by me, in fear of insurgency. With a long list of fear I had in my life, the word 'disappointment' rings,
With every sacrifice, I rely on compromise for the sake of peace.
Meeting their expectations, I clipped my own wings,
Years have passed, I survived by embracing responsibilities.Filling their cup of life, made me forget I also had mine to fill,
Looking back the life I had, made me realize that I'm old and ill.
Alone with the stars, a shining light approaches me,
With my delight I hold on to it's heat and embrace it's soul and energy.I hear it ask me, 'Have you lived your life?'
'No, I haven't. For I owe them my life.'
The light then offered me a choice like a riddle played in my thoughts,
'If you can turn back time, how will you change your course?'Unexpectedly, a tear escaped from my eye,
How many times does this light gave me this chance?
In a loop of hopelessness, I kept looking for answers from a lot of 'whys'.
Rewinding every scenario, made me realize I kept looking back in the past.If I had another chance, I promise that I'll live this one last life.
One lifetime is enough to push forward, without looking back.
The light handed me a star, with a number 10 in disguise.
'Ten years. Erase and recreate your ten years.
Now wake up and unpack your bags.'
