Anhedonia is a feeling,
Where you felt like floating
Lost in the space of nothingness,
Counting down, until you're breathless.

Where are you, dear lost soul?
You said that you're just talking a stroll.
Alone in the middle of the night,
You desire to disappear right on site.

Writing letters became a daily routine,
To be read by others or not is not a big deal.
In those letters you conceal your goal,
Only for a few to breakdown and decode.

Your smile distort the truth behind your lies,
The pain you feel inside doesn't subside.
The word 'help' barely consumes your energy,
Embarrassed to be seen weak in their memory.

Gulping one bottle and another, you drunk yourself,
From the reality that narrates a story you can't accept.
Waking up from a hang-over that you resent,
A smile you paint, for another day to present.

Seeking for what you thought you have lost,
The warm feeling, you try so hard to defrost.
Overlooking the fact your heart is still beating.
You questioned 'living', while you're breathing.

One day at a time, following a routine,
Praying for that day to come which your purpose will be guaranteed.
The previous chapter can't be changed or rewritten,
You died in the past, but your future is still unwritten.
